Jason Cole: Dolphins concerned about Tannehill

Maybe you are on Ryan Tannehill's payroll Nawledge but I am not. So let me give you some facts, OK? Against Tampa Bay, Tannehill was 9 of 14, 110 yards 0 TDs and put 3 pts on the board. Moore was 13 of 19 158 yds 1 TD and put up 17 pts. Against Dallas, Tannehill was 13 of 21 119 yds 0 TDs. an another 3pts. Moore was 13 of 19 172 yds 1 TD an 22pts on the board. Most people with any level of intelligence would agree that Moore's stats are better, especially with the bottom line which is POINTS ON THE SCOREBOARD!!!

This guy swings from the nuts of anyone not named Tannehill. Pay him no mind.

I don't think so. Too much evidence and speculation about Harbaugh for there not to be something there. And it's not like we hired Ozzie Newsome or Trent Baalke, it's Dennis Hickey. Hardly irreplaceable, and certainly not worth keeping over a proven winner like Harbaugh...
I think Hickey will be a decent GM. I would hope Jim Harbaugh would keep him on.

I just love how no one was whining about the OL after beating NE but they you score 7 pts the last 2 games and the entire season was all about the failures of the OL.

The line was an issue all year, no one was satisfied at any point in the season

Quarterback gets sacked 58 times....running game in the bottom third of the league....and a Jet Troll tries to pretend it wasn't a problem.

Montana didn't need Roger Craig, Clark and Jerry Rice!!
LOL !! OMG, OMG, OMG!!! Dude, Joe Montana won a Super Bowl with 7 starting rookies on his team in 1981. On offense he had "household names" like Ricky Patton, Bill Ring, Freddy Solomon, Earl Cooper and Charley Young. How many of those names ring a bell?

Forget Tannehill and Moore for a second. The deep ball is important no matter how often you are using it. As a matter of fact the thread of a deep ball can change an entire offense. If you can connect on only two deep balls regularly it makes a defense respect the deep ball and it prevents a DL from stacking the line of scrimmage.

I do believe that we had that argument during the Fiedler years. Because he was unable to connect the deep ball the defenses stacked the line of scrimmage and essentially took away the running game and even short and intermediate passing. In return as an offense you have to commit more players to blocking.

With a functional vertical pass thread defenses a lot of times back off from the line of scrimmage and rush only 3 guys.

Thinking that the deep ball is underrated is a flawed thinking.

Eli manning has won 2 super bowls but yet last year when his line sucked he had a bad year...and he can throw the deep ball. What part of its a team sport do you morons not get? Keep spewing your stupid ass deep ball **** tho like it's the only thing that matters.

And also I never said anything about it being underrated. My point is if a qb throws he ball30 times a game probably about 27 of those throws are shorter than 30 yards. So there's maybe 3 chances in a game at a bomb pass. Qbs you probably consider elite don't hit em all the time. Its just facts.

Eli has had 2 great postseason runs but he's been a pretty mediocre QB throughout his career. he threw 27 INts last year w/ 39 sacks, in 2010 he threw 25 INts w/ 16 sacks. I actually see Ryan as an Eli type, a more athletic version of him w/o the deep ball ability. One game Ryan or Eli look great, the next they looked like rookies playing in their first game. if you put the right pieces around Ryan and he can help you win a SB the up and down nature won't bother you but that won't be easy. everything broke perfectly for NYG those 2 postseason runs.

So you agree, it's a team sport...a teams success doesn't rest solely on one player. For as good as Peyton is he brother has more rings.

Chart won't show..... weird. But this shows how the QB's fair with a ball thrown over 20+ yards.

Funny how the facts were laid out in the past few pages and someone conveniently disappears.

A mystery to me. How puzzling. An unsolved riddle. Some might even say.. an enigma. :chuckle:

I went to bed. Some people do that you know. They don't stay up all night trying to goad people into e-fights until 6am.

That chart shows me he throws deep passes more accurately than Brady, Ryan, and flacco...
