So Matt Ryan's offensive line and injuries to his primary weapons along with a soft sissy girl defense, had no bearing on that record?

Rookie contract is coming up, do you pay RT franchise QB money right now? If not, then concerns are valid.
I've seen growth, but it's not enough to warrant franchise type money.

I would sign Tannehill now, get him cheaper - than roll the dice... absolutely -

I really like how wv said yesterday Tannehill sucks, he made two horrendous throws then goes on to say Matt Moore makes us a playoff team...wv didn't mention that horrendous pick 6 Moore threw, against 2nd and 3rd stringers....the tanne haters are ridiculous.

Matt Moore almost threw another pick six. It was just as bad as the near interception to Dion Sims. I thought both QBs made a few awful decisions in that game.

I think RT has been okay in the preseason. They have moved the ball. They just have not finished drives.

Is RT the answer the next ten years? That has to be answered this year and maybe next.

Also, this staff sinks or swims with him. If they yank RT or RT fails, they are done. The ONLY way they survive is if Matt Moore gets them into January and that still might not be enough.

Agree totally with this. As long as he doesn't implode or obviously hold the team back, I have no doubt he will get this season and next, at least. I cannot understand how any fan could consider Tannehill a problem last season.

Ryan has been good but an INT and that overthrow to Wallace quickly turned everyone against him SMH.

I will say that in order for the team(offense) to be successful, Tannehill needs to make that a TD to Wallace; it looked like he could have just hit him in stride but he let the ball float. Omar did say something about QB's throwing to a "spot". I'm not ready to give up yet, he hasn't performed horribly, but I would like for him to be a bit more agressive throwing the ball downfield and in the endzone. A WR doesn't have to be wide-open for him to throw a TD.

Umm maybe you forgot that Dan the Man didn't win the SB... Not to forget the crazy 4th Q comebacks he led week after week because he didn't have a run game, and stout D playing behind him

he did get to a SB and multiple title games, he also carried teams to postseason w/ far less talent than Ryan had last year but it makes no sense to compare a top 5 all time QB to Ryan. That is not fair to Ryan and not fair to 90% of the QBs in NFL history.

Now please choose one of those same adjectives to describe the Dolphins' pass protection (OL, TE, and RB blocking and blitz pickups), and one more to describe the overall passing offense.

Do you feel it's time to give up on the quarterback, or do you want to see what he can do with one more year?

I'd answer part of that based on a simple generally tried and true eyeball test seeing 3 games in person and all the others on TV (as my ulcer can attest to)

But even better, why don't I let 5 objective analytical sources, each with their own independent methodologies and absolutely no axes to grind have a go at the answer since they have no horses in the race that may be construed as subjectivity:

Well, I was asking MadDog because I think it cuts right to the heart of the matter that he brought up. I am not asking for us to surround our QB with elite talent, I am asking us to surround our QB with NFL credible talent. I honestly don't believe that we had a capable NFL starting OL or capable NFL starting RB last season.

Now you put your QB in that situation where he's got terrible blocking and no rushing game, well, he's got great coaches and top tier receiving talent, right?

I work in online marketing and this post is spot on. All online content, including online news, is wholly dependent on clicks and views. The best way to get clicks and views is by hitting certain psychological triggers. If a news item can be positioned in some kind of controversial way, it will generate more traffic than a more neutral approach.

I don't think the throw to Sims was such a bad decision (although I haven't gone back to review the play to see if there were obviously better options) as much as it was a bad throw. If it is placed better, it is likely a catch. The INT was probably the worst throw I have seen Tannehill make in 2+ years. The long pass to Wallace was Tannehill not trusting Wallace. According to Tannehill, the throw should have been to the outside of Wallace, but when Wallace took an inside release, Tannehill didn't think Wallace would make it to the intended spot. Wallace couldn't find the ball and slowed up. That was on Tannehill but it shows that he doesn't trust Wallace.

Concerned is definitely the right word. They are concerned.

Joe Philbin and Dennis Hickey are going to be FIRED with extreme prejudice if Ryan Tannehill's passing efficiency is not much improved in 2014.

It's too bad Philbin will most likely be sacrificed with him. I think they should look at how Philbin manages his team as a whole this year. If he improves his relationship with the players, I think he should get a shot with another QB. IMO he has put a lot of the right football people in place compared to others we have seen in the past 15 years. There are other coaches out there that I like, but I always thought part of our problem was the merry go round. We need stability and I think you give a guy a shot with 2 QB's for sure, unless it's a Wannstedt / Cam Cameron / Sparano type of fiasco.
