For those of you who joined in on Jason Cole's forum... just wanted to let you all know that he is leaving the Herald at the end of the month.:boohoo: :boohoo: :boohoo:

However, I do have some news for you guys that you probably won't like: As of June 30, I will be leaving The Miami Herald to take a job with Yahoo!.com covering the NFL for them. That will spell the end of Ask Jason in this format. I'm sure I'll do something at Yahoo, but we have yet to figure that out and it won't be limited to the Dolphins. It has been a glorious ride covering this team since 1992 and I appreciate all of your interest. Frankly, this forum was a great vehicle to help with coverage of the team. It always reminded me of what you guys wanted to really know. Beyond that, the people at Yahoo were impressed with it because they saw how seriously I took the internet and how it changes our jobs. For that, I want to thank all of you for making it really fun. Between the music, religion, politics and even the football, the banter was usually lively, thought-provoking and, best of all, humorous. I'll take questions until the end, but I wanted to let all of you know since the news is starting to make the rounds.

David J. Neal has been doing a lot of stuff with the Herald lately. He seems like a really off-beat writer too, pretty humorous. Maybe he gets the job.

this is usually the standard when people leave the fins right? :tongue:

in all honesty, It'll suck to see him go, I enjoyed his stuff.

Eh, Jason Coles wasnt a particularly good writer. He broke news, but anyone in his position at the Miami Herald would.

We're cursed down here with a bunch of 3rd rate writers and radio people besides Jim Mandich.
