He just said it on the Pregame show.

I think it's the right thing if he doesn't. Still have 2 more games. Get him ready and then he and Ricky and Sammy can have the bulk of the work in the last 2 games.

ronnie needs to play. you can't talk about injuries and whatnot this is football. he could get hurt tonight just as easily as he could next week or any week after, or even in practice. he needs to get in there and get some reps.

Don't shoot the messenger. I agree. He needs to play.

nah i didnt mean to come off like that against you but nick says in his pc that either way he will recieve criticism, and if you saw the article saying brown will play, the open bashes nick for risking injury by playing brown....its football.

Its not a big deal. He'll play next week and the last game. thats plenty of time to see where he is

This is the perfect game to find out how far R.Brown is in this offense.I'm not worried about him running as much as this is the perfect game for blitz pick up.

The only thing he would probably excel at this stage in is athletic ability. It would amaze me if he had blitz pickup down pat after one week of camp. If he plays tonight expect missed blocking assignments, wrong routes and hitting the wrong hole.

How would Ronnie even know the plays well enough?

He's a liability against a heavy pressure team like PIT...

What if Ronnie dosen't know the play well enough, and gets Gus hurt? Going into the season with Feely and Co. would be a disaster.

Ricky is starting and the weather is supposed to be really bad.

Really? I checked the weather report this morning for Pittsburgh and it didn't say anything about storms. I think the weather may have been a factor in Saban's decision.

Ronnie has had the playbook since April. He's been training and working out for the last 3 weeks while he has not been with the team. He's had 3 days with the team and in preseason you play with many different play/player combo's anyway so this confuses me.

I know this sounds a little off the wall but, i think they should maybe stick Brown in the game in the 4th Qtr just to give the guy a taste of how fast the pros game is-some reps too. Well since he's not playing, i guess it doesn't matter anyway.

It's been crap all up the East Coast today. What is it like in Charlotte?
