Jason Gaither to supplemental

Carey is our present and future LT. Gaither would play RT. That's where he played last year for Maryland

Although I do know there have been gems found in the supplemental draft, maybe we should just forget about the supplemental draft and keep all of our draft picks for next years real draft.

I would bid our second-round pick for Gaither. If he had come out in the regular draft, I would have considered him at #10, but you don't bid as high in a supplemental draft.

I'd bid a 4th but I would think hard about a 3rd. Miami should have a fairly high drafting order, depending on how the weighted lottery comes out.

Hey CK, I'm still kinda new at some of the draft workings. What is the weighted lottery you referred to, and how does it work?

Thanks ahead.

well no offense but thank god your not our GM..No higher than a 4th

Some where around the 4th to 3rd round area. I mean the fact that this guy could come in this year and learn alot does not hurt either. I hope we get this guy, But I also don't want to overpay for him either.

I never like drafting guys in the supp. draft.

It is like picking one guy now when you have the choice of hundreds in the real draft. So when you give up a 4th for a guy you better believe he truly is going to make the squad and contribute. That is why you never see a team give up a 1st rounder in this draft, why commit now when you may get a better player later?

I'd float out a 6th.......it won't get him but I'd still float it out there.

What would make me give a 4th is that if Green reaches his incentives and we owe KC a 4th I believe it goes to the year after since we wouldn't have a 4th this year.

Living in the area, lemme say that Gaither is a pretty good physical specimen. He may very well be a good insurance policy if Shelton can't cut it.

Can we bid a fourth even with the incentives on Green's contract? I mean, if Green plays 70% of the snaps and we gave up that fourth for Gaither [who IMO we should definitely bid a 3rd], what happens next?

the 4th would get pushed to 2009.
