It is obvious that Mularky is incapable of guiding this offense in any way. I would consider mediocrity a miracle of improvement with this guy in the booth. The drawback with bringing in a new OC, is of course, another season with a new terminology and a major learning curve for the players and the coach. Add to this the need for the coach to learn all the player's strength's and weaknesses well enough to game plan successfully, and it is easy to see why dropping a new OC in could be dismissed as detremental by the organization.
With all that in mind, I am curious how everyone would feel about QB coach Jason Garett taking the OC job in Miami. He is well respected in the organization, knows the players very well, and has been around long enough to be a legitimate candidate. I believe he would provide us an opportunity to avoid many of the pitfalls and learning curves that would be a part of bringing in someone from the outside, plus, he has an intimate knowledge of our division opponents...critical for a team that has any plans of going to the Superbowl.
I'm curious to hear any thoughts on this? Could Jason Garett be our guy?
