Jason Taylor back injury

He's still day-to-day.

It's nothing serious.

Do we really know that? What information can we recieve to confirm or deny that?

Any player that is not practicing due to injury is a concern for me due to Sabans reluctance to expand on those injuries.

Look at the context clues my man. Have you seen him in his shorts and jersey at practice? He's jogging around, laughing, goofing off with players.

Nick said he'd elaborate if a guy has a significant injury. JT is a seasoned vet, probably our best player on defense.
Why push him right now? Let him rest it. He's fine.

I agree with SageFin.

Gotta watch out for those back problems. They linger and linger and linger...

OK. For the last 4 days or so, JT has been observed being active but just hasnt been involved with drills? If thats the case, then the injury would suggest not being severe. I just thought that not participating in camp meant every activity.

That's correct.

He's been doing side work, and been on the field talking with the d-linemen during practice.

Back injuries are less severe for the guys who don't carry 300 pounds around the field...I would like him to be in it, but it at least is giving roth snaps w/ the first team where he has been tearing it up...

If he's been seen at camp doing light drills and talking and joking with the other D-linemen, then I'm not going to worry.

It could end up being a blessing in disguise by giving Roth a lot of extra time and snaps with the first team.

Any time that arguably our best player misses time due to injury, I'm concerned. While it doesn't appear to be too severe. I would definitely err on the side of caution w/ JT. Hopefully its not serious and some rest will do the trick.

The guy has nothing to prove in camp as we all know. I think it's good to let him chill for a while seeing how hard he goes when the season starts. Nick uses the camp to instill intensity, but he knows JT needs no such prodding. JT got pretty nicked up last year, the less wear and tear the better.

I just watched Nick Saban's presser from today.

He said Jason Taylor will be returning soon to practice. Relax, everyone.
