1. Jason Taylor is bogged down with his dancing career. Not to mention, it looks like he may pursue a movie carreer in Hollywood as well. Thus, this may cause him to retire alot sooner than we thought.

2. Taylor's age is a big question mark. He is in the best shape of his life, but he is also older than he has ever been (lol). So who will want to pay a steep price for a guy who is almost 35 and at the end of his career.

3. With Taylor mulling over retirement the last few years, there's no doubt in other teams minds that he is pretty much done after this year. Again, no one will pay a first round pick.

4. The idea of trading JT to a comepetitor (like he has supposedly requested) only hurts Miami. Why? because all competitiors have low draft picks.

Therefore, Much like Ricky Williams, Jason Taylor has no choice but to play for Miami in 2008. His is very valuable to Miami as we are asking for alot. Other teams seem to think different, but only because of his age (which is ridiculous). No team wants to pay a steep price for a 1 year service of JT. At the same time, Parcells is not the type that is inclined to let him go desperatley and cheap, just because we couldn't get what we asked for. Therefore, in the end it's better we keep JT and not get ripped off.

Jason Taylor is a football player first and foremost, and as long as he's still playing at a high level, and playing for a team that has a chance to win a super bowl he's not going to retire.

Jason might decide to just retire and becoming the black James Bond if he gets sent to a team he isn't interested in. Everyone keeps saying lets move him for a 2nd rounder, but JT may just say SEE YAH!!!!

He's making no money as a dancer, nor will he get far in hollywood, bit parts in B Movies at best.......think Brian Bosworth, only worse.

His age is the very reason a 1-15 team should go all out to rebuild, he won't be here for the party. A 2nd round offer is a deal.

Again, 2nd rounder and we have a deal worth doing.

I agree, if we can't at least a 2nd rounder......keep him.

I bet he would have a longer acting career than Jim Brown did. :D

Look at what happened when Nick Saban caved in for Patrick Surtain. At first Saban stood his ground, in the end, he must've buckled under pressure and I was asking myself why in the world did we have to swap 4th rd picks??? It's still biting us in the a$$ with no solid CB's on our team!!!

In the end, we may end up with a pile of crap for JT, just like we did with Matt Roth. And all because we want to please JT by sending him to a competitior? I really hope Parcells sticks to his guns about a low first round pick or JT will be a phin.

how can some1 deserve to be someone they do not want to be? doesnt make sense to me!

I think this is a horrible thread. Jason Taylor deserves to stay in Miami and you dont give one good reason! I can think of a few though, loyalty, can train our young guys on D, can teach our 1st round pick how to deal with elite pass rushers etc.

All you gave was reasons to trade him! I dont disagree with trading him though.

If I was in court and needed a character reference you would be the last person I would use. If you are going to defend JT then atleast make an effort lol!
