None was happier than I when at the end of the game the prevent D did not raise its ugly head. I can say with a good degree of certainty that if we had used that scheme, we probably would have lost the game.
I thought Miami Dolphins defensive coordinator Paul Pasqualoni called a real aggressive game against the Jaguars, who needed a touchdown to win but he really went after them at the end of the game. Thankfully, we didn't see the dreaded prevent defense. No one was happier with Pasqualoni's approach than Jason Taylor, who commended his aggressive play-calling and schemes down the stretch.
"He did a real nice job of staying aggressive and not necessarily of getting in the mode of, 'Well, they have to score a touchdown to beat us so let's kind of sit back and just make sure they stay out of the endzone with no time outs,' " Taylor said on today's show. "We remained aggressive and kept the pressure on them.
"But Randy Starks came up huge. He's having a Pro Bowl year. He's been playing outstanding all year. We also got some big plays out of Reggie Torbor and the rest of the defensive line played their butts off. It was a good team effort."

The defense won yesterday's game, plain and simple. As much as we like to rag on PP and call for his firing, he does deserve credit for it.

And it's not that the offense played poorly, but a few turnovers were enough to overshadow how well they moved the ball otherwise and could have potentially cost us the game had the defense not stepped up.

The defense has a lot of holes talent wise. I can't really blame Pasqualoni entirely for all of our struggles on that side of the ball.

I appreciate all that Talyor has done for us prior to 2008, but lets be honest, he's on his last leg with the Phins and it's really showing now. We need Wake to become an every down player and draft a freak in the middle to replace Chowder-head, among our other needs.

Defense getting strong this time of the month is huge! Especially with no signifcant injuries excluding Fergie&Allen...

MajorInjuries1/4season
RunGame2/4season
Pass Game3/4season
Defense4/4season

Its all falling into place for a playoff run!

Jason better praise everyone considering his ONE TACKLE PERFORMANCE...ONE tackle and we are worried about playing Wake
because of his run defense.

11 tackles in the last 6 games for JT
Time to say good bye to JT at seasons end

not at all a fan of pasqualoni. he did good yesterday but his lack of creativity on defense this year has killed us.

hard to get complex coverages when your safetys are idiots and your corners are rookies.
