None was happier than I when at the end of the game the prevent D did not raise its ugly head. I can say with a good degree of certainty that if we had used that scheme, we probably would have lost the game.
http://weblogs.sun-sentinel.com/sports/dolphins/joerose/2009/12/jason_taylor_give_credit_to_pa.htmlI thought Miami Dolphins defensive coordinator Paul Pasqualoni called a real aggressive game against the Jaguars, who needed a touchdown to win but he really went after them at the end of the game. Thankfully, we didn't see the dreaded prevent defense. No one was happier with Pasqualoni's approach than Jason Taylor, who commended his aggressive play-calling and schemes down the stretch.
"He did a real nice job of staying aggressive and not necessarily of getting in the mode of, 'Well, they have to score a touchdown to beat us so let's kind of sit back and just make sure they stay out of the endzone with no time outs,' " Taylor said on today's show. "We remained aggressive and kept the pressure on them.
"But Randy Starks came up huge. He's having a Pro Bowl year. He's been playing outstanding all year. We also got some big plays out of Reggie Torbor and the rest of the defensive line played their butts off. It was a good team effort."
