Jason Taylor Has “no Choice” But To Play In Miami

While I respect everything that he has done for Fins, I'm thinking that we need to get rid of him if he just isn't motivated to play for us. I'd rather have a more motivated, but less talented player than a highly talented, but unmotivated player.

Just my $0.02

If he's not interested in playing w/a team going thru a QB controversy, then why not do the next best thing - play for a team who has no idea who they're QB will be. I'm still a JT fan, but I don't like the fact that he feels like he's stuck w/us. Oh well.

My prob is last year the Giants had the same situation with Strahan, they handled it without disrespecting him. He came back and they win the super bowl. JT has been the best player on a ****ty team for the last six years. He's owed some respect in my opinion.

well the ugly truth is the nfl is a business. I dont blame JT for trying to get what he can.A super bowl ring would get him more endorsments and tv jobs once he leaves football.

please retire

you've turned your trade value to &%#$ and then demanded a trade to a short list of destinations

sleep in the bed you've made, we are moving on

I agree he is owed respect, and I don't really see where the team is disrespecting him. He even stated that his team was supporting him while he was on DWTS's. Even BP made nicey, nice w/him alledging that he just didn't see him, when JT felt he was ignored. They've made it clear that they want him on the team, and yet he's looking for OPTIONS out. It's not disrespecting him, but I can't help feeling a little disgusted that he feels stuck w/us (not in so many words). If he know's that this is his last year, I can even understand wanting to go to a contender this year, but don't fail to show at camp, hoping to force their hand or something.

NYFINNER how was Strahan generally treated in the media in New York?

Generally I think he was treated well. On some of their forums, they bashed him quite a bit though. If he ended up not playing, I think most would've burned his jersesy - as we felt when Ricky retired. However, most of my buds who are Giant fans, were okay w/his absence at first.

Doesn't seem in character (parden the pun) for him to be that way. I think that mgmt made it clear early on they were going to try and trade him. To me that's enough disrespect but I thought the same about Zach so I'm probably not the one to ask about it.

Did they make it clear? Or was that blown out of proportion. I think they shopped a few of the vets, knowing it was a rebuilding year, but I think it was clear that they weren't going to get what they needed (wanted) for him & gave up on that fairly quick. I think the media just ran w/it, because of his dancing. Either way I hope he sticks around & plays his butt off, whether it's his last year or not. He's still one of the best in the league, I'm sure, but will he still fire up the team & be the leader they need right now, is the big question????

It would be one thing if he were man enough to just come right out and say "I don't want to play for Miami. I want out of here." Instead he has to play these stupid PR games, or claim he can't attend a single offseason function because of "personal business" or try to slime the current FO management and make a mountain out of a molehill to make them look like the bad guys to try to justify why he wants out of Miami.

I tend to think telling the truth is a sign of high character.

I dont think either are telling the truth.
