I don't really see a thread about Jason Taylor. I think he is one of the most interesting sub-topics for the season.

Admittedly I didn't get to watch as much pre-season as I usually do this year, so I haven't seen him much.

That said, what do you guys expect out of him this year? Will he be the beast that he was a couple years ago for the Fins? Do you think he's lost a step and that his best years are behind him? Something in between?

Definitely lost a step, but if he's used properly, he can still be very effective.

Unfortunately because of Rothgate, he's going to be an every down linebacker, and I'm not yet sure how I feel about him against the run. The reality is he and Porter will probably dominate occasionally enough for us to be excited as fans but will probably tend to disappear a lot as well. And our record will go as our pass rush goes.

I can guarantee you that this will be the worst season of JT's career ever.

He will play MUCH better than he did last year.
He is not great vs the run but he plays with so much leverage and contains very well.
I dont like him playing in space but as far as being in shape he looks like more of a freak than ever to me

during his limited snaps in the preseason, taylor was in the backfield on almost every single play. 8+ sacks this year for sure.

He's bigger now, and he looks to be ready for a big year

People talk about him against the run but he's always been sewrviceable at DE against the run, now he's at OLB, he's gonna be just fine, I'm not worried about him one bit

I think were gonna have the same JT we've always had. I expect 6-10 sacks, a couple forced fumbles, recoverys and a pick or 2. Throw in a TD as well. He may be 35 but he's still in great shape.

JT will have atleast 10 sacks...and where were all the idiots who are complaining about setting the edge 2 years ago. How come no one complained about it until Sporano brought it up. Some people just frustrate me.

I think JT will have superb year. If he and Porter can get 10 sacks each, coupled with the improved showing of Anderson and Moses during pre-season AND with the potential of sacks from our DE, i am full of optimism, especially when you consider we were superb against run last year AND pass rushing AND covergae was our weakness ........AND.... S Smith looks superb!!!!!!! - i got bit excited !!!!!!
