There are moments, Jason Taylor admits, when it still feels a little strange to pull a burgundy No. 55 Redskins jersey over his shoulder pads. Autumn weather is a welcome change, as are four wins by mid-October. But wearing maroon and gold? That takes some getting used to after 11 years and 172 games in the Dolphins No. 99.

''At times I'll still have flashbacks that I'm wearing white, aqua, and orange because that was such a big part of my life for so long,'' Taylor said. ``I'm getting more and more used to the burgundy, but the first few weeks it was tough to see myself in the mirror wearing different colors.''

Maybe those acting lessons are starting to pay off after all, if he said any of that with a straight face.

:bs:

Is your comment supposed to be commemerable to JT's statement...or are you bashing the man...cause I can't tell.

JT played so well for us so long, don't bash him for it.

When it's all said and done, in a couple of years, the grudge some have will fade away and change into recognition. JT is gone but will never be forgotten

come on man he gave us 11 great years let it go when he goes in the hall it will be as a fin

JT is where he is, cause that's where he wants to be. I agree JT had a great career as a Dolphin, but I won't defend him for leaving the Dolphins. Integrity will win my respect far more then the whiny, "it's all about me and what I want" crap. If he only cares about "being a champion" and not how you "become a champion" then he's made his decision. Shula, Marino and Thomas handled their situation with far more class then JT. I hope Zach wins a SB, JT...who cares, JMO.

Opinion accepted, I for the most part agree with you. I just think it should be left as it stands. After being caught up in the emotion of being on a losing team after helping them for so long can affect you.

I agree he handled it a bit wrong but not everybody has the class of Zach Thomas. Just leave be, he made his decision, so be it.

If your hating on Jason Taylor you best fall off the planet. Why any Dolfan would ever even think of saying something bad is beyond me. Given what we recieved for him, when we did, we should be even more thankful we had him in the first place.

I don't want to live in a world with Sarah Palin as vice president or Dolfans who hate on Jason Taylor. Neither belong.

Only if the Fins don't!!

yea it would of sucked to have JT and JP coming off the edge this year.
I dont wish bad upon him just wish the redskins miss the playoffs.

To bad the Dolphins did not handle the end of their careers with the same class they did!

I think the Dolphins handled Shula, Marino and Thomas the way TEAMS in the NFL handle aging veterans or coaches who have lost their effectivness. Do I think it's right? No, but it is what it is. JT did what he did for himself, Miami did what they did for the betterment of the team. Teams that refuse to adjust get left behind. JT could have handled his situation much better and walked away from Miami seeking what he wanted with much more class then he did. He chose to make everyone pitty his situation. Oh boo frikin hooo, you don't have a SB trophy, there are a lot more great players without SB victories then JT.

Well I suppose I am being a little hard on the guy, but only because he wanted to leave and got his way and now that he is somewhere else, he is making sound like we where the ones that wanted him gone. That is where my BS meter went off. He is trying to play the innocent role as if he was heartbroken when we traded him. I still like him, I just respect him a little less.

Marino, shula, they had a shot at winning the big thing, shula actually won it. Jason never even had a shot at a superbowl and it was definitely not his fault. He's played like you expect a DE to play for us and he kept his mouth shut for 11 years, 11 ugly years (almost all of them..), and you say he only thinks about himself because the 12th one was just too much for him ? pfff

He might have a chance to win one with Washington if he can stop finding reasons not to touch the field. He is to Washington what Seau was to us. An expensive liability. Thanks for the 2nd round draft pick suckers!

All will be forgotten when he apologizes to us, the fans. We stuck through it just as long as he did and then he goes and wants to be traded. Not saying he was wrong to want to be traded but how he turned his back so easily was quite sad to see. Then he goes and throws a pity party for himself like he was cast out of the crystal palace. Come on JT. Don't go out like this. You are better than that.:(

As for rooting against ex-dolphins, no. I still root for Thomas and Chambers and a few select others. This isn't a grudge thing, it's a respect issue.

never did i mention that i expected fans to root for former players... wether you do or do not doesn't really affect me, i respect either.

i don't think JT is saying he regrets the trade, he's just being honest and trying to prove the doubters that jason really loves miami but the team didn't offer him the last wish to his ending career, a superbowl-caliber team.
