On the loss of Chad Pennington) - "It's a big loss. You hate to see it. It's sad, he worked his butt off to get himself ready to go, and unfortunately he had the injury. In this business, time doesn't stop and wait for anybody, so we have to keep trucking along, and plug Chad Henne in. We understand what we lose with Chad Pennington. The leadership, the guidance, the experience, the professionalism, the approach he has to the game, his mental capacity as far as the game is concerned, and the knowledge he has about the game is something you just can't replace. It's sad, it's tough to lose somebody like that, I feel bad for him."

(On what is lost without Pennington in the lineup, and the fact that he was a captain) - "All those things I talked about is what you miss with[out] Chad, and that's why he is a captain. We understand the nature of the game and these things happen, and you have continue trudging along. The three of us that are left are trying to do our job and pick up the slack. There's a lot of slack to pick up when you lose a guy like Chad Pennington. There's other guys in this locker room that lead, and help out and chip in, and we'll do that."

(On the team's confidence in Chad Henne) - "We believe he can do it and we know he has the skills and the talent to do it. We also know he's going to go through some growing pains and make mistakes. Even the best quarterbacks in this league make mistakes. We're there for him and I talked to him briefly and said, 'go out there and do what you do, it's your team, we're going to have your back, and we're going to follow you.' He's going to be good."

I want to hear an o-lineman say he is going to give him the best protection he possibly can.

Ya but do you really expect him to say things like "You know he's a real mediocre quarterback" or "There's nothing to go crazy about when you talk about Chad Henne" I mean don't get me wrong I'm a supporter of Henne but I'm not going to read into what JT said.

Good play by Taylor but he could stand a little more intensity & focus out on the field. I noticed after one of his tackles for a loss last week (when we were out of the game) that he was smiling. Get mad, get mean. I think the team overall will do better now cause Penny had them in a sort of limbo. They knew he wasn't the future plus he limited the offense with his arm.

I'm sure Henne appreciates JT's comments and support, that's a cool veteran leader.

I would rather hear JT talk about how he is going to get to the QB.........

guys who have his back:

- Peezy
- JT
- Bess
- Fasano(hopefully)
- Long(literally)
- Hartline(tentatively)

Clay would have his back......if that was cool with him.

Where was his back {or the rest of the defense}, against the Colts on Monday night two weeks ago??...

I'll believe it, when I see it....
