Jason Taylor To Have Surgery?

Yes, Jason Taylor is having surgery on his foot and will be replaced by Aaron Schobel in the Pro Bowl.

Jason Taylor suffered a torn plantar fascia in his foot in 2007 and will likely require offseason surgery. Taylor played with the injury for at least 4 or 5 games. He showed significant pain in week 15 but managed to re-enter the game by the 2nd half.

Aaron Schobel, who forced five fumbles in 2007 but had only six sacks, will replace Taylor on the AFC Roster of the 2007-08 Season Pro Bowl Team.

OMG! Ive suffered a torn plantar faschia! Its got to be one of the most painful things ever! I cant beleive JT played with that even during a depressing season. I just wish all pros could have half the attitude JT does. Heck, if LT had the same attitude as Jt maybe the Chargers would be in the Super Bowl.

Well I'm surprised that he has not just given up and retired yet. How old is Taylor compared to Mike Strahan?

I'm treating a couple of patients with pantar fascitis....one has calcaneal heel spurs which makes it even more difficult. Sole Supports makes great orthotics, hopefully the cause of his plantar fascitis is taken care of during this offseason.... I know he dealt with this through the 2005 season

JT plays to win no matter what. He never gives up on this team. Didn't he play last year on a torn ankle tendon?

Um, what.. Can we talk in people terms:D

Jason Taylor to have surgery

just saw this on www.thephinsider.com

:( it's really bad for us, MOSTLY if the FO planned to trade him; he will be worth a lot less..

after hearing Parcells and Sparano wanting him back and this surgery, I don't believe any deal will be concluded because of 1- what we would get and 2- our staff wanting him on our roster next season

my take ? i'm fed up with injuries lol but really though, i don't like this because i feel jason will never get outta here and win the Superbowl he deserves so much ... and for us, well, we will have nothing left from JT after he retires except memories and a HOF probably... i'd rather have a Draft pick lol

EDIT: sorry didnt see it was posted, my bad ;)

as mentioned earlier, JT has had, and played through, plantar fascitis before. it is a painful injury, but he's a tough SOB.if ladainian tomlinson had it he'd be out until '09.

Despite the mainstream perspective on Tomlinson, he's actually also one of the toughest players in the league, having played through various injuries throughout his career and missing exactly one game in his entire career, which is remarkable considering the position he plays and the number of carries he gets.

The guy had two carries and figured out that he couldn't really help his team. What's so bad about that considering his history of toughness and consistency?

just ragging on him because it was a championship game and the perception is he checked himself out (while his QB was playing on a torn ACL and after a scope the preceding week).
