I saw this a few days ago on ESPN News (no link other than the TV), but I remember hearing he was unhappy with what Green Bay was doing in the offseason and basically did the same thing Duante Culpepper did. Could he be an option for Saban?

he wants a long term big contract so its unlikely...

Ahhh... didn't remember them announcing specifically what he was looking for. I figured he'd be looking for something a bit cheaper especially because of his injury at the beginning of last season, but good to know.

He has to be smart about it though. Big contract? The guy played like 1 or 2 games last season before getting injured. He will come cheaper than David Givens, trust me, no team will overpay Javon Walker.

I see a 5 year, 20 million at most for Javon Walker. If he brings consistent pro bowl numbers, then we can restructure his contract to the type of money he is looking for now..

We don't need Javon Walker. We need to shore up our O-Line and our secondary. Wouldn't you guys all agree that Chambers has really come into his own and will just continue to get better. And Booker is a former pro-bowler, who is more than serviceable...in fact, I think he's good. I just can't justify tying up more money in the WR position, when we have so many other needs.

I wish we get Javon.. he can be a Trio with Chambers and Booker

maybe Chad Jackson in the 1st... 6 1" 210 4.31 Forty can jump out of the building...
Unless we use the pick on a Cb or O-line..

I agree that we don't need to get another WR,but if Miami was looking to spend on another receiver I would want Miami to get Walker much more than T.O or any other WR. I think he is the second most talented WR that would be in FA, and I think he can be and is just as talented as owens, but he's young. His name could be along Chad Johnson, he reminds me of a faster, David Boston without the steroids and good (Arizona days). I would rather have Miami spend on a Wr lie him that an old Isaac Bruce, or other wR that ins't of the same caliber. I would have to say that Miami would have the best Wr trio if they got Walker, and most likely the best and most dangerous offense in the league.
