JaWuan James Comes to Miami

James seems a really good guy, one of few NFL players I might actually want to be friends with.... you know, for more than money lol
 
Good character guys seems to have been the theme. Can't blame them really. They still took a chance on talent of character with aikens and udfa Damien Williams which I'm pumped about. Looms like he could be a steal

I agree - he comes across as really decent. It must be very difficult to be suddenly thrust into the spotlight and he has handled himself well throughout the whole process. He knows that he has to perform, given the 1st round expectations, but he seems very assured. I'm impressed.
Now let's see how he performs on the field.

When looking at him vs. Moses/Kouandjio, he has no big butt and more athletic. Really, I think alot of the comparisons are off and I can see why we ended up pinpointing him.
 
Did he get the Samuda eyebrow treatment already orrrrr? :ponder:
 
I gotta tell ya, he seems like a humble polished professional already. I don't know about you guys, but I love the frame on that guy. He looks solid and muscular and doesn't seem to have weight issues. I think he is an immediate anchor at RT. With his projection as a better LT than RT, I think this guy is gonna be on our OL for a long time.

It's not a sexy pick, but when you watch his demeanor and listen to the "experts" talk with absolute confidence our RT hole is filled and his potential... you have to be impressed with how he is a perfect fit for us.

I think it cannot be overstated how important Dallas Thomas is going to be for us this year. He is the clubhouse mentor and friend James will need to skip over all the potholes of being an NFL rookie and acclimating to the Dolphins and this coaching staff. If Thomas does nothing else except compete for RG, be a great backup and mentor James, then he has earned his spot on this team for several years. I would be interested in knowing how well they got along before the draft.

I wanted us to address the OL heavy and often in FA and the draft, I think we've turned our weakness into one of the strongest (yet not proven or tested) units on paper this offseason.

We now have the building blocks we need at OL. And while I was not on board with picking more WRs in the draft, it is obvious they focused immensely on the overall passing game this offseason. I'm hoping from all the attention at WR, it indicates we won't be carrying just 4 guys for 3 starting positions that pretty much decide 75% of our offense. I'm hoping we carry at least 5WR.

I was hoping RB Tre Mason might the 2nd round pick after we picked James, but its obvious to me now that Philbin simply does not identify with the power running game ... at all. I think the RBs we have are the RBs we will see on Day 1.

The organization and Philbin are 100% committed to relying on Tannehill. Regardless of our school of thought, we have to appreciate that Philbin has decided that he will sink or swim with Tannehill and this organization will once again identify solely with our QB.

Regardless of the outcome, it is nice to see our QB is the true face of our franchise again.

I believe he has alopecia totalis? Kind of strange that two guys who went within five picks of each other have that, it's not very common.
