I'm just curious, maybe theres something I dont know but, why is there so many people so high on Jay Cutler? He plays for a 2 win team and his numbers are very blah..... very blah. I mean he has almost as many rushing TD's as he has passing (10 passing by the way).
I've just come across his name over and over again lately and I dont understand how this guy even got on so many peoples radar.

your looking at the wrong cutler Jay Cutler

I guess because he has some physical tools and not much talent around him. It seemed most people became big fans of him after the Vandy/Florida game. I'm not too high on him but the Qb class is weak and some team will probably overvalue his talent and take him in the late 1st. He's the 2nd best Sr Qb, but that's really not saying much.

This topic has really already been talked about. Culter is raw, takes awhile to progress. Has alot of tools and ability.

But even still this years numbers are nothing to write home about.

Any chance he has progressed in a better offense than last years? Also look at his attempts last year..almost half of what he has thrown this year but still hit at a 60% clip with a good efficency rating.

I don't think this team needs any more "project" type QBs (especially when they're drafted high) or veteran castoffs that don't have it any more.

Jay Cutler draws alot of Brett Farve comparisons, he has that gunslinger mentality. He if memory serves is having to run option plays quite often. They guy is on a bad team that has almost beaten Florida, beaten Tenn., and all primarily on his ability. He can make plays both on the ground and through the air. All that said he is far from a sure thing, but he could be a steal in the early 2nd. To me he is one of those Matt Jones types, in that I think he will either go big or go home. My opinion is that he will be a very good QB but it may take 2 years to see him on the field.

Pinegar in early 2nd.

personally-- I would draft defense with 1st pick (high 1st) and trade up to get Pinegar in the early 2nd.

Then I would look for a steal CB in round 3.
