Jay Fiedler... what do you think of the dolphin's getting rid of him ?

I'll never forget the Jets game last year, where Jay tried to lateral (sp?) the ball to one of our friggin o-linemen.

Glad hes gone- never felt comfortable when he was in there. I just have terrible images of him floating those wobbly balls way over receivers heads and watching them get picked off, or his quick outs that never quite get "out" enough before they are in the hands of the opposition..

Ah. Memories.

Fiedler was never the problem. He just never was the answer.

APPLAUSE !!! WHISTLES !!! STOMPING OF FEET !!!

Excellent answer my friend. ;)

After having 5 seasons of watching Jay play Qb for us . I can say we wasted 3 years too many on him. He is just too mediocre and i am suprised he lasted that long. Of course when you have a coach that doesn't know what a starting Qb should look like. It was fitting that jay and Wanny both got the boot at the same time.

And now I just hope Saban knows when to cut loose dead weight.

I'd rather have Fiedler then Gus or AJ. I have no doubt we will feel the pain of Jay going to NY at least once.

THAN, THAN, THAN, THAN, THAN, THAN, THAN, THAN, THAN, THAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You'd rather have Fiedler THAN Gus or AJ.

Unless you meant to put them in order.

Fiedler won more games than he lost

And yet we find ourselves in this current predicament while he spent his 1st 4 years here leading the team to an average of 10 wins.

i agree....jay was not the problem

Hello.

While Fiedler has been a productive QB for the Dolphins for the past five seasons, guiding the Dolphins to several winning seasons, he simply did not help the team achieve the accustomed glory and excellence that we Dolphins fans have been so spoiled for so long. I have certainly appreciated his gritty contributions to the game, his heart and mental forte needed to succeed in the giant shadow of Dan's QB legacy.

Call it a mutually advantageous parting, if you will. Him leaving the Dolphins is a good move for the organization. The Dolphins get to shift their energies elsewhere and start focusing on other personnel. Secondly, Fiedler seems to have found a perfect opportunity with the NY Jets and I suspect he will do very well up there. He fits the role of a backup QB there like a glove and will rise up to the occasion when needed.

I wish him the very best in his NY Jets QB'ing endeavors, but at the same time, I'm glad he's no longer with the Dolphins.

Enjoy.

Jay wasnt the problem but he sure as hell wasnt the answer!!!

Jay could manage games very well sometimes. However his turnovers and lack of real arm strenght put our defense constantly on the edge. Our defense was fantastic while he was hear and to not get deep into the playoffs was just very disappointing. I have only had the opportunity to watch the first game on tv and i was very impressed with Ferrote. I thought his arm was pretty good and he seemed to make good decisions. It would be a crime if whoever the starter is that they dont throw the ball Chambers way at least 10 times or more a game. then Mcmichael, Boston and booker at least 5 times a piece. Balance that with an effective running game and we could have a pretty damn good offense. But none of this is possible with a poor to mediocre line. I heard the broadcast of the steelers game and it sounds like they arent much better than last year and that my friends is what we needed to improve most. The lighter skinnier crackhead version of ricky williams body will be to frail and he wont last the whole season with that line if they dont dramitically improve. thats my rant

GO PHINS !!!!!:fire: :yell: :fire:
