Jay Glazer: Mike McCoy next on the list possibly

So if you were running the team you think he merits an interview for head coach based on that. Im just talking not judging. I just dont think he has been that impressive as an oc to be like hey lets look at him for head coach.

I think it merits a look. If the organization and his players think highly of him, why not bring him in just for an interview? The reigning Super Bowl champion head coach had the worst offense in the NFL when he was hired. Hell, they basically admitted that he was hired to appease Favre.

Again, I understand your skepticism, but why not give him a look? He's been an NFL coach since 2000 and is highly thought of by his coaches and players (both current and former)

Im pretty sure most of the coaches in the NFL are well respected by their peers and highly thought og by their players. Supposedly Sprano was one of these guys but at some point you have to say has this guy proven enough to be head coach to seperate these guys. if we are interviewing Mccoy we might as well bring in a 100 more guys we can say the same things about. Its basically the equivilant of just throwing crap against a wall and maybe one will stick

McCoy may be a good HC option, but he's getting too much credit for Tebowmania.

thus I wish we gave Dennis Allen a look. Again, John Fox is a defensive guy and he gave the former New Orleans DB coach FREE REIGN on defense. He has Von Miler beasting as a rush 4-3 LB, but outside of Miller, DJ Williams, and Dummerville the front 7 is nothing to write home about and he had a secondary that was collecting welfare most of the season, and the ones that weren't are rookie safeties.

There is no way McCoy should even be considered.

The Dolphins would have way too many former U of Utah players now.

I know how much love y'all have for Big Paul, Koa, & Sean S. :chuckle:

We'll just have to see mate. As of right now he is neither a known candidate nor has he been interviewed

Well in actuality the Denver offense is ranked like 23rd so he has not even been very successful this year. Denver has a worse looking offense than us by far.
I dont see why anybody would be impressed watching Denver's offense, its so damn ugly to watch
Consider their qb man. the guy has dumbed this offense down for Tebow. He is still getting qudos for his play calling, alla the last play of the game last week. He has worked with Josh Macdaniel who is suppose to be some sort of a guru even if an a-hole. Didnt I hear jaws was ranting about his playcalling this morning. You seem to be so absolute in your opinions.

Brandon Marshall's 2009:
Rec: 101 Yards: 1,120 YPC: 11.1 TD: 10 (career high)

His OC...Mike McCoy.

if all that is true then maybe we should keep status quo and keep Bowles....I am serious. I like the guy, but he has no chance for the job which is too bad.

Honestly, why would anyone interview this guy?

to be fair, Chud has had 2 seasons of success (1 more than McCoy) and EVERYBODY wants him.

With McCoy, what I do like is that he was a QB, and he was part of a very successful few years for Carolina.
Agreed

here's what i'm gonna say about mccoy...he comes across as well spoken for one...but the o i've seen him put together with tebow is all about tebow and not very intuitive with the option and inside running game and lastly if kyle orton is the qb in denver this entire season is mike mccoy someone who might be getting fired after this season??? i say its very possible

i'm not a fan of this hire at all...he might be a real offensive genius but i think personally he's a guy who right now at least is riding the coattails of tim tebows success...i need more proof
