What does that even mean? What don't you have the time for? Should they change the scedule to 3 games a week so there can be 3 seasons in a year because your time is precious? Is your time somehow more precious than that of any other Fins fan?

I see what you mean, but that doesn't apply to the game you mentioned. The team had the lead given to them by the O which was led by Fiedler. A combination of bad special teams play and poor D caused us to lose. Basically you took a situation where the O needed to win in spite of the D and special teams, but turned it totally the other way.

Lets see. For some reason unbeknownst to me I've come under attack on this thread. But I'm not afraid. Red Bull has given me wings!

To answer the first question, I know all of our time and money is precious. The individual I was speaking to (not you) was saying that Fiedler played the game. I instead want a qb who can win the game. The point I was making is that during the four plus years he's been starting he hasn't learned how to consistantly win the game for us. Now I know the first thing you're going to do is to point to the w/l percentage he has. But I ask you, how many of those games is he responsible for us winning? And how many has the defense forced int's to give us another shot after he blew it? I know it's a team sport but if the QB can't physically throw the ball to the receivers then all you have left is the running back. The QB is more than just one out of 11 men out there. He is thed delivery device for the football. When he is inept there is no passing game. We then become one dimensional (see last year). So, the point is we have only 3 hours a week multiplied times an average of 17 games (one playoff game) over the last ten yeaqrs. We spend countless dollars on tickets, tailgating supplies, miami dolphins jerseys etc. It would be nice if we could get a playoff birth at the end of the year with a legitimate shot at going to the Superbowl. I don't know about you, but I for one am tired of watching teams I don't care about in the playoffs and Superbowl.

To answer your second question. You say that the offense had gotten us ahead against New England in December '02. I agree, the 1st half, we were playing wonderfully. However, the offense had 24 passing yards in the second half. THis is the NFL. We have never been the '01 Ravens. We need to still score some points in the second half even when we're leading. Fiedler couldn't pass during the second half and it kept us out of the playoffs.

How scary is it when you see Jay scrable to the right and just push all he has and throws it 40 yard out (hail mary throw for jay)? People usually get excited when they see cullpepper throw it deep. Think think TD! We think INT!

I got Excited for that pass in the endzone last saturday, till i saw it fly over the recivers head and into Rolle's(i think it was him) hands.

Good point. Hopefully we won't need to worry anymore. I think Feeley played awesome last week. He outthrew the co-mvp against a pretty tough D. He had more yards in one half than Mcnair had in the whole game. We didn't win but that was still a really good game for him. The train will start rolling with a win against Cincy.

I'm not attacking you. Your post came across as you saying your time was precious, so JF needs to go. It seemed like you meant your time was more precious than other's.

Jay's winning percentage is an important stat. Yes there were lots of games won because of the D, but there were also games, like the NE game, where the D blew a lead in a winable game.

I don't deny that I'm a JF supporter, but I'm looking forward to seeing what Feeley can do with this team. We have some really good WR's and a TE who hopefully will have a big year. Let's face it, JF isn't as good as some people here think he is, but he's not nearly as bad as some of you would like to believe.

HE had half of the snaps all off season. He played in four preseason games. He had McMichael and Chambers as receivers. And he had an 8 qb rating. I don't think he's bad. I think he would have to play a lot better to get even close to bad. Right now, I think a high school qb could make him look inept.

Your point was that the w/l is signifcant because the D blew the lead? I ask again, how many games of that w/l column has Jay won? No defense ever can keep you out of trouble 16 games a year. THe offense has to put up points consistantly throughout the game. HE CAN'T THROW!!! Don't you get it? I know he's tough. I know he's a good scrambler. But a QB has to be able to throw? Having him as qb is like having a wide receiver with only one arm and a lazy eye!

I don't think we can say bye to Jay yet, we know that Wanny will keeping pluging him in throughout the year and until the expected mid year injury. Then Wanny will keep putting Jay in even injured and we'll blame the losing season on injuries. My hope is that AJ can prove himself so we don't have to resort to Jay anymore.

Bye Jay...I can't say I'll miss ya though.

Umm, I dont think it was Jay the blew the lead we had or Jay that messed up the kick off or shanked the punt
Yes but it WAS Jay who went 3-14 for 24 yards in the biggest half of the biggest game of the season, not exactly what you would call rising to the occasion huh?

He didn't have 1/2 the snaps in the preseason. They were split close to even between the 3 QB's. If you look at the preseason stats, JF's rating was 87.8 and AJ's was 63.5. That's a significant difference.

You're right, no D can keep you out of trouble 16 games a year. Neither can an offence...just ask the Chiefs or Colts about that. My problem with our D is far too often they play great to keep teams around 10 points when our O plays well. Then in games where the O struggles, so does the D. IMO that's what keeps this D from being great. Look at a team like the Pats or Bucs. The D always seems to come up with the big play or big game when they need it.

Lets hope AJ is at least good enough and stays healthy enough to ensure you never start another game for the Dolphins.

You've made alot of money as a mediocre quarterback Jay so I trust we won't have to feel sorry for you.

Yes Jay, you did have a good winning percentage but so did Tim Ruddy and he wasn't very good either.

Jay, from the back to back interceptions in the Midnight Miracle to the six interceptions thrown against the Colts and Raiders in the 2000 playoffs you've displayed a knack for not quite being there when the team needs you.

I could go on and on, the 5 yard bullet to Bruschi for a touchdown in the biggest game of the season was classic, you were giving points away at the same time you couldn't produce any.

In 2002, in the season finale against the Pats, a game we had to have to make the playoffs, what did you do Jay? Well that second half of yours was simply brilliant..........3-14 for 24 yards.....smoking Jay!

So in closing Jay, your a wealthy man now so I don't feel sorry for you, and frankly you weren't good enough and really achieved nothing in four years and one game so I won't say thank you.

Perhaps Jay, instead of us thanking you, you should rather thank the defense who carried you and made you rich.

I know you all must have some Fiedler Nightmares to share?

i say jay can be a solid qb hes just inconsistant at times...

- The final for me was after the 1st series in Oakland in the 2000 playoffs. Fiedler Lovers seem to forget all about that glorious moment. After doing all he could to lose the Colts game in Miami , only to have L.Smith (200 yds+) and the Defense play their brains out to pull off the win , you would think Jay Stiffy would come out sharper. Surely with a week and a cross country fight after such a dreadful game , Jay would understand the importance of not making the stupid mistake. I remember it well. Game starts , the Defense gets the Oakland Offense off the field in a 3 and out , a short punt and we have Great field position. What happen to our fearless leader after that? The singular , most bone headed play in Dolphin history given the moment and conditions. Stiffy throws into TRIPLE coverage on the sidelines. The ball was hung up so long that the Raiders CB's were doing "rock , paper , scissors" for the right to intercept and return for the TD.

It was clear at that point that there was NO CHANCE that this guy would ever lead the Dolphins to the promised land. Clear to all except..

Wanny? :roflmao: :shakeno:  :roflmao:
Clear to all except Wanny and the Fiedler huggers. Love the way you described the Raider DB's, never heard that moment defined so eloquently...........

Didn't AJ get most of his snaps with the back-ups???

We had a ruling while we were waiting for your last reply. 9 out of 10 dolphins fans have decided I win. The 1 that voted for you says that he's blind but he likes Fiedler when he watches him on brail-o-vision!
