Jay, thanks for your services.

Jay desrves a lot of respect for putting up with what he's had to put up with here. It's never easy following a legend and he did it with as much class and integrity as any all-pro who has ever stepped on the field.

If AJ has half of Fielder's heart and determination we'll be the luckiest team in the league.

I don't think anything will ever top the denver game as a testament to what Jay could sometimes do and to what makes him tick.

That ball that went through Mobleys hands into Dedric's belly was a smoking laser......and he threw it with a broken thumb.

You GOTTA respect that.

I guess my favorite Jay memory would have to be the come-from-behind victory up here in Buffalo in 2001.

We dropped 24 points on them in the 4th Qtr. to steal the victory... and Jay had 2 sweet TD passes to rookie WR Chris Chambers. I have an autographed picture of Chambers catching the game winner hanging right here on my wall.

I guess the best part was that the Bills were smoking us through 3 quarters, and the Bills fans were louder, ****ier, and more beligerent than usual because of it... but you could have heard a pin drop when we took the lead for the last time, and won the game. We gave it right back to those drunken idiots all the way out of the stadium, in the parking lot, at the car, on the expressway, at the Thruway rest stop, and on the phone when we got home. That was cool!!!

In the 4th Qtr., Jay was sharp, and in command of the offense. We played conservative all game and it got us nowhere. Wanny turned Jay loose in the 4th, and he actually looked good.

Of all the games I've been to since Jay has been QB, which is about 12, I think, that was the only game I walked away impressed. And Chambers was downright sick.

Thanks Jay. Now get out of the damn way. You coulda been great if you had it in you to be at least slightly consistent... but you don't so you'll never be. Have fun backing up McNair next year... or wherever you wind up.

Jay's best day??....link

Meanwhile, the Jay Fiedler-led offense scored at will against a rag-tag Bills defense....Back after missing most of the last two games with a bruised right shoulder, Fiedler finished 13-for-21 for 214 yards and threw a career-high three touchdowns.

I was at that game as well... we go every year. It was nice to have the game over at halftime, yes, and he did play well... however, the game the next year was better IMO. I guess you just had to be there. It was pretty damn cool.

This year will be sweet... seeing three games in a row. @ NE, @ BUF, then down there vs. STL. I've seen two in a row, but never three... I can't wait.

Here's to a Jay-Free Three!!!!!

My favorite moment is when Jay led that come back up there in Buffalo land a few years ago.

Two games not mentioned yet, are, of all things his very first game in Seattle where we shut them out. Jay was proficient and threw a TD. After that game it seemed things were going to be ok.

And of course in 2002 when he outplayed Rich Gannon as we handed the smoking hot Raiders a loss and snatched or tied for the #1 seed in the AFC (in WK 15 no less).

But #1 will always be the scramble into the endzone with no time left over the Raider in 2001, and I think that SI cover will keep that moment enshrined forever.

The games I remember most are the Broncos game where he broke his thumb and the Redskins come back off the bench. At the time, the win vs. the Redskins kept us in the hunt until the loss to the Eagles. While I realized at the end of last year that Jay was not the answer, I had always given him my full support. I was adament that he was a better starter that Griese last year, and he proved that by their respective records.

Guys.. Jay is still there, holding the cardboard. If AJ gets hurt or something, you realize that Jay is an awesome QB out of the bench (look at the Washington/Dallas/(and to a certain degree)philly games. AJ gets his shot now but we still have one of the best backups in the league in terms of leadership. Jay and AJ are in good terms so this should be interesting.

2 games i will thank Jay for. He scored the winning TD against the Raiders and blew out the Cowboys on Thanksgiving! Besides that Im glad we have Feely now.

Jay gave us everything he had. He won some great games, for example the Raider game and the Broncos game, we all know which ones I'm talking about. We can knock him for his lack of talent, but never for his lack of heart and dedication. Fiedler was and is a class act, a true professional. He never once complained about anything even though we, and the press, gave him so much crap. Thank you Jay Fiedler, you are a great team player. Hopefully you will stick around and be a backup and pass on some of your class, and teflon character to AJ.

We all know Jay is a good guy. We all know he played hard. We also know every Dolfan has wanted a upgrade at QB since he has been here. So let's not get carried away with this thing please!
