Jaylen Waddle praises Tua Tagovailoa, says he is a ‘great leader’ and ‘real confident’

I get the impression Tua is one of those guys that has an insane amount of confidence in himself. He's pretty guarded around the media and public (which is probably smart and best for the team), but I get the impression that his team mates and close friends see a much ****ier version of his personality. Waddle stated Tua, "got a lot of swag to him". I could easily imagine hearing Jordan-like stories way after Tua retires about how someone talked trash and Tua didn't say a word but went out of his way to destroy that guy on the field.

Tua was never supported by the previous coaching staff. Flores had no idea how to hire competent offensive coaches and he obviously preferred to blame Tua for the offensive problems and not the coaches, the OL, the RB’s, and the WR corp which other than Waddle were injured most of the season.

I am a big Tua supporter but he now has a coaching staff that supports him and much more talent around him. So as long as the OL can at least play at an average level this coming season. He needs to show that the Dolphins made the right decision when they selected him with the 5th pick in the draft in 2020.

Jordan used to berate his teammates. Great player, yep. Great leader, not so much. The person the media portrayed and the actual person were very different. Pippen was the player that held those teams together.

With the OL Tua has played behind, not sure how Tua would be able to destroy a defensive player talking trash to him unless he is a Jet.

I definitely don't want to see (or expect) the "bad team mate" version of Jordan. But I do expect to see Tua be the guy who targets someone. He talked about it in his interview with Hill. He mentioned how at Alabama a defender would be talking trash and he would target that guy. I could see that same Tua coming out in the NFL.

The announcer while Tua is trucking the defender citing it being unfair to the Jests player. ROFLMAO!
