Jaylen Wright needs to be our short yardage back going forward.

If you all remember awhile back, I said that Wright was Special and if given the opportunity to play, he would demonstrate his explosive capability!
I felt pretty confident about this prediction for the reasons I stated in an earlier post.
I am sure happy to be proven right because he will help the team going forward.
He is the best draft pick in this draft so far and it is not even close, although I saw something from Chop the last game that gives me hope.
Grier can't and won't pick quality Offensive Linemen, but he did hit a homerun with Jaylen Wright!

Wright changes the complexion and mentality of part of the team

I still like a Mostert first then JW then Achane as third down back

I thoroughly enjoyed Wright's style and explosiveness....and his yards after first contact

He is the type of runner we typically see on the offenses we play against and never on our own offense

He will get more touches I'm sure, and there is still room for Mostert and Achane to also be a big part of the offense

Imagine if we had really good guards, even one? I so want a stud center/guard combo but Brewer has played ok

Mostert achane and wright can be a good trio. Keep them all fresh, 1 man shows only last a few years usually.
Exactly this. I was never convinced Achane was a workhorse back yet. He may very well work his way into that roll but as of right now he should be uses in conjunction with. I know Mostert's injury jump started that use but now with the bye, it should be a healthy 1,2,3 punch again.

This team is god awful at converting 3rd and 4th and 1. I saw Wright moving the pile on Sunday and to me its not close he is the only back that should be getting the ball in these situations.
Was I watching a different game? Before Mostert softened up the defense Wright moved nothing. A 1-2 yard Wright run is a 3-4 yard Mostert run. That’s what I saw. Now if Wright gets hit from the side he has great contact balance and keeps moving forward. But that’s different than running through someone. That he hasn’t shown he can do.

I'm glad he's in my fantasy draft. I've had him on the bench, but time to move to the starting line up.

He should definitely be our top RB for the next few years.
