He's gone. Off the practice squad.

For all of us who saw wonderful potential, he was just too small.

C'est la vie.

Hopefully he'll catch on somewhere else or up north beyond the border.

I just want to see the guy play, really.

I don't think he showed much with his chances returning punts on ST's and I think Armstrong is a little more polished with overlapping skills... They gave him a real look though.

Yeah with his attributes I beleive the CFL is the perfect place for him. He will definantly be playing there or the arena league IMO.

From watching the college video tape, the thing that seperates him is his vision, after the ball is in his hands. Vision isn't so important at WR. The route is what it is... and then you're surrounded by fast guys. Looking at Foster's college stats as a receiver, he was a below average WR... so perhaps this was predictable.

Basically, Foster needs to move back to RB... and you can't play RB if you're under 200 pounds... so he's gotta add 20 pounds. If he does that, maybe one day he'll surface again.

Adding 20 LBS to a 5ft 6 frame is not easy.

5'6"???

Man, even the waterboy would be looking down at you.

Tere are plenty of running backs under or close to 200 lbs.

Lorenzo Booker 191
Ahmad Bradshaw 198
Reggie Bush 203
Cobbs 205
Warrick Dunn 187
Kevin Faulk 202
Jerious Norwood 202
Leon Washington 202

dolpins you know what all those dudes in your list have in common. with the exception of warrick dunn none of them are every down backs.

Don't forget Jones-Drew and Darren Sproles. 2 very productive little men.

I know, but Rich's post said, any back, under 200 lbs cant play in the NFL. These guys all play in the NFL. I know they arent every down backs, just sayin, you dont have to be 220 lbs to play in the NFL.

FYI - Barry Sanders was 5-8, 203

Jones-drew is short but is huge. If he was 5'10 he'd weight in the 230lbs. He's 5'8 and weighs around 210 now, and as a rb height isnt the issue really its your size and strength of your legs(which jones-drew is a monster). Being short is probably a plus for a rb as long as you have a frame that can have weight on it ala jones-drew

I didn't know Drew weighed that much. I guess I should research more.
