New tight end favors run game

The tight end made his niche with the Miami Dolphins as a blocker in two-tight-end sets

wasn't Jed known as a below avg blocker who had good hands and root running skills for a TE :confused:

Yes he was. But he was a deceptively good blocker. Witness the Denver game. Did a better job on Trevor Pryce than Todd Wade. :)

He's an average TE and we won't miss him. He is better catching than blocking like you said.

He wasn't that bad blocking and his hands were pretty good, I can't say I remember him missing many passes thrown his way..As Muck stated look at the Denver game..he blocked pretty good, as the Pats game..I will miss them..Hopefully Bat. continues to impress and Donaldson developes quickly like Randy did last year.

Remember the season before when he was our starter, he would catch balls and fumble them, thank god he is gone.
