Okay, first full disclosure, 1. I lost all patience with this guy long ago and make no bones about it (despite, or maybe because, of his natural talent). 2. I'm Old School (which I'm not apologizing for) and believe that team unity, attitude, and selflessness go a LOOOOOONG way in determining how good a team is- it's not just about getting the most talented people- especially at this level where everyone has uber talent.
I hope he has got it out of his system now. He now made the pretty one-handed TD catch and got on all the major network replays. Is it enough for you?
Great catch, made MUCH MORE DIFFICULT by your intentionally refusing to use your right hand, which was free and within easy reach of the ball. Had you dropped it, which you almost did bobbling the ball on your hip as you came to the ground, it would have been just another goat play in a long list of selfish-no heart- me-first plays.
That a player can so obviously put himself first over a team that was (at the time) playing their guts out for a playoff spot, is completely beyond my comprehension. I don't think that is in the character make-up of 98% of the NFL players. Sometimes stupid plays are made in the heat of the moment, but NOT using both hands when they are available and the smart move is a premeditated, look-at-me move that is just inexplicable in any game that is till within reach.
I said before, and I'll say again, RT will NEVER have a good consistent deep ball as long as Wallace is his primary deep threat. He doesnt trust him and he never will, whether he says it or not (and he wont).
