Jeff Darlington on Jim Rome

This is starting to sound like Martin was trying to fit in and be one of the guys so he hung around his tormentor and played the game as long as he could.....anyone looking on the outside in sees two friends with Cogs in control....hard to see that one guy is afraid for his life if he was hanging around him on his free time......

Maybe he didn't tell him to **** off but didn't he obviously didn't follow up on it or just didn't care. It happens.

In my opinion, Philbin is scared of the players and how they perceive him.

Your sentence was a bit confusing. Are you saying Philbin obviously didn't follow up or care?

Because you have a Rookie or young player complaining about a Probowler. That is why nothing gets done.

Not sure what your point is. Are you assuming Philbin knew but didn't care b/c it was a rookie telling him this information? Why did he cut Chad Johnson then if Philbin is such a ***** to good (Johnson in the past) players?

Darlington was on the Jim Rome show today and had a ton of new information. (mods please change the title to the Jim Rome show)

Darlington said he had sceen the tweets from Cogs to Martin.

1. Said the prank pulled on Martin was the exact same prank pulled on Garner last week. Said that Martin was in the group of linemen that got up and walked away when Gardner sat down. Said this has been an ongoing prank all season.

2. Said entire Dolphins organization was blind sided by Martin walking out. Players in the locker room had no idea Martin was dealing with a bullying issue. Said coaches had no idea he felt this way as he never told them.

3. He spoke to Cogs. Martin did tell Cogs via text he didn't blame him. Darlington couldn't be sure or not if Martin told Cogs he didn't blame him or the other o-linemen for fear of what Cogs would do.

4. Said based on what he heard from Fins players and people in the organization was that nobody really thought what was happening was a big deal. Said that Martin never brought it up. Said that it doesn't make it ok that it was happening and that if Martin felt bullied that is all that matters.

edit

5. Something that I also forgot to mention was that Darlington said the Cogs and Martin hung out together in season and during the offseson. Said they would go to the same bars/night clubs together and that they live in the same area

To all the people saying that Philbin handled this poorly. The man can only do so much. This is/was a player-to-player issue that had been brewing for a while, mostly behind the scenes

If that was the reason he slammed his tray down and left the cafeteria, I really don't know what to say. And the fact he did it with the rest of the line to Garner the 2 weeks prior makes him a hypocrite.
