Jeff Darlington on the GM / OC search

Didn't the guy in new orleans pass on us too?

Yes, but with DeCosta and McGloughlan it was reported last week that we were interested but neither wanted to leave their teams. That to me doesn't make us look like a joke at all. I can't comment on the Saints guy, but with people like DeCosta, McGloughlan, and even Gamble I'm not going to go "lol we're a joke #DawnJoe" when it was reported that none of them were really interested in leaving.

I'm curious as to the OC search, but we don't know.

The OC is an important position for us but IMO not nearly as important as our GM position. There are many OC candidates out there and some may even still be in the playoffs. However for us to get our roster in shape we got to get the GM settled.

So we have interviewed 6 candidates so far, have two more scheduled and about four have openly declined interviews. That's about 12 guys accounted for, roughly 1/3 of nfl teams. I'm sure there are a lot of teams that have nobody we are interested in. The dolphins have been very thorough in my opinion.

Back during the 2003 season, Armando and Jason Cole were seen high-fiving when the Dolphins got eliminated from playoff contention. He was confronted and was caught in a lie when he tried to make an excuse. Check out the gold here:

Armando just this year went on a rant about a Vietnam vet. The dude is classless and is a proven liar.

Maybe Salguero can play safety. He seems to be good at back pedaling.
