Or there was nothing to validate. The only people saying he didn't choose Miami because Ireland is a "clown" or "douche" are Dolphin fans. All along he said he enjoyeed meeting both Ireland and Ross. What is there to validate?

i'm saying if it was true he didn't like the front office and that was the deciding factor he wasn't gonna validate what some peoples suspicions were publicly...

You're reaching. Bradford has a lot more talent than anything Miami has on it's roster. Fisher himself said working with Bradford was part of the reason he chose STL.

Guess we should discount everything someone says because it doesn't fit our own agenda

I agree with that but nothing he or anyone (besides people on this site) has said would make you believe he isn't telling the truth.

My point is that it has already been decided by many on this site that Fisher didn't choose Miami because he didn't like and therefore didn't want to work with Ireland. That doesn't at all seem to be the case but since the court of public opinion on this site has already decided it to be, nothing that says otherwise will change that. It's extremely juvenile
 
He could have also said nothing, or replied with a quick PC answer. He did neither. In the end, it doesn't matter. Those who are determined to be pissed off and hate everything will do so regardless of anything that surfaces, the exact same way those who will never be critical of anything that happens will continue to do so as well. Things like this just throw more fuel into the fire...

it's also juvenile to take anything these guys say publicly as absolute fact...these guys as in nfl people lie to the media all the damn time...coaches gms everybody

but i tell ya what i hate is all that agenda talk...i just try and connect the dots

the only thing i know for sure is we keep coming up short...

He also could have said 'no comment.' He's obviously trying to curry favor with the Dolphins here, and I gotta be honest with you, I'm sure it worked. These guys will take anything they can get right now.

no comment reads in a negative light...had he come out and talked trash thats the kind of stuff that when you're back on the market potential employers as in ownership look at and start questioning...how loyal are you...why do that...when you can say some nice things and keep everyone happy and your options open

again...its a no brainer not to come out and pile on...
 
It is funny how people keep talking about the people that complain all the time. Am I the only one who has watched this team over the past 10 years? The way people keep giving tug jobs to the FO you would think we have been on the right track for years and have been consistantly in the hun for the playoffs. Clearly a good amount of posters have come to settle for mediocrity.
 
Coach Fisher has nothing to gain by pointing out any front office's short comings.. neither does anybody else.

If he was sold on Ireland's ability to acquire him the players that he needed to succeed as a coach, he wouldn't have stood his ground on the issue of final say over personnel.

It doesn't matter what anyone says about Ross or Ireland... people's opinions are formed based on results and method, neither of which are in the favor of Miami's front office.

All 32 coaches in the NFL want the final say on what player is on the roster. It doesnt mean that Fisher wasnt sold on a GM, it means he believes in the priciple that the coach decides who is on team. He didnt ask for GM powers, he asked for final say. Big difference.

It could also be said that Ross and Peterson stood their ground on the final say issue with a vote of confidence in Ireland.

Having final say over personnel means you have power exceeding the GM. Wanting final say over personnel and being required to perform the daily functions of a GM while also being the head football coach are where it's different.

Fisher disagreed with Ross on whether or not Jeff Ireland should have final say, so would I.
