Garcia used to be pretty good. What happened to him? When TO left SF, he sort of dropped off the radar. He went to the Browns when that team was having troubles, and didn't do very well. Then, he landed with his old coach on the Lions. That is where he is now.

If he was released from the Lions, Miami should keep his name in consideration. Under a solid coaching staff, I think he could be good again. He has a really good ability to scramble under pressure. He certainly could replace Sage as the backup to Frerotte to start the 2006 season.

Linehan's offense requires a strong armed Q.B....something that Garcia is NOT.

Garcia has no where near the arm strength of Gussy.

Gus has one of the strongest arms in football.

Ok. Your point has been noted. For the record though, I did watch Garcia throw the ball 40+ yards while avoiding the rush in his own endzone. He has good enough arm strength.

Anyone else have some thoughts about Garcia filling some kind of role at QB for Miami? I kind of like the idea of him replacing Sage.
