The announcement that Jeff Garcia will be officially released by the 49ers is expected to be announced shortly. It is reported the drunk driving incident and his high salary will be the main reason behind the release.

i wish they would - i think he'd be a better addition than feeley. if we can get him at a lower price than he WOULD have commanded (b/c of the DUI), then he would be a steal!

I think he could beat out Jay Feidler for starting QB... and I havent seen Feely so I have no opinion there..

Jeff is more mobile, has a stronger arm and is more accurate down field..............
