49ers GM Terry Donahue said he would take the weekend to consider quarterback Jeff Garcia's fate. Well, it's Monday – Donahue's decision is due. Garcia's agent believes the likeliest scenario is Garcia will be cut. Both sides are running out of time to negotiate; the 49ers must comply with the league's $80.6 million salary cap by Wednesday.
