I'm probably going to get killed for this, but here it goes...

Until the past few weeks Ireland seemed to have a policy of not speaking to the media if at all, and he didn't speak to them during the season (Armando did an article about this in the midst of the 7 game skid, but i don't feel like looking for this one). I noticed an interview referenced on his Wikipedia page, after about five minutes of searching i found this.....

The most peculiar part of the article is not too deep into it.
"I asked Ireland if he'd be willing to grant a rare interview. He gladly moseyed over to talk about the team he helped build."
:emjai:

The Dolphins have made a concerted effort after the Peyton Manning debacle to become more transparent. Ireland is learning that you can be fan and media friendly without actually giving anything away. This placates fans and media a little bit making them feel like they kind of understand what the Phins are doing, and therefore are less likely to turn on them.

I would prefer that Philbin be the voice of the team.
When Ireland speaks, do you feel like he is telling the truth or being transparent?
When Ross speaks, he usually just creates a news story with his statements and comes off as a incompetent owner.
Ireland and Ross should just smile and nod their heads...and let Philbin do the talking...IMHO
