Yeah Solai wanted ridiculous money as did Canter. Ireland played it pretty well, kept them in contact but didn't pursue because he knew that at the time Solai would only demand ridiculous money. Ireland got them to become more reasonable and signed Solai to a good deal.

It seems as if you have no legit claims or reasoning other than personal dislike for Ireland as to why he is a bad GM.

If you call a locker room cancer trade a bad trade.. How about the Redskins and Rams trade? That's not exploiting their GM? Don't you think they gave tooooo much???
 
you assume alot OP........... from what i've seen, the people ragging on Ireland are tools, for the most part.
 
What has Ireland Done for this team? I guess we will see this year if it was all the coaches fault or not because if this team does not make the playoffs again we will know it is the talent, talent that Ireland is responsible for bringing in. I for one am sick of this once proud franchise being ok with being Mediocre at best.

Really? Exactly how much money were they asking for? Because to me you are making it seem like you know this and are not assuming this. What is fact is David Canter spent most of all last season begging the Dolphins to even have the courtesy to respond to some of his voicemails. How do we know this, Mr. Canter said it directly himself.

So him signing this favorable contract is a good job by Ireland Grats! Woohooh! But to me it seems like it was more an indication that Soliai wanted to stay in Miami and Canter did everything possible to make it happened. Ireland shouldnt be given the full credit for the deal Canter and Soliai should.

But again I will give you that, Ireland did 1 thing right this offseason so far.
 
I'm not an Ireland fan but he does seem to pull a couple good free agents every year. (Dansby , Marshall) (Bush , Burnett)
so I think they pull a surprise before it's over.
 
Im fine with Ireland. He's doing just fine. I'm going to give him another 2 seasons without being babysat by Parcells before I declare him one way or the other.
