"I think Jeff has had a lot of success in the role he's been in, and what's clear to me is they have a plan and he understands what kind of football team he wants to put together."

This may come as a surprise to some Dolphins followers, particularly the part about having a "plan." But Garrett, who was a Cowboys assistant for the final season of Ireland's rise in Dallas, was hardly alone in his endorsement of the embattled GM.

Maybe they know something we don't..

Have you ever heard anyone in the nfl say yea that rick speilman is an idiot. people just dont say these things within the nfl doesnt really mean alot

How come whenever someone tells the media good things about Ireland it is not believed and usually met with eye roll? However when one person tells the media something bad about him people take that as gospel? Seems strange.

Or if you have just one good thing to say about him, you get labeled as a clueless..blind faith homer. :idk: Interesting how that works around these parts.

How come when Armando writes something negative about the Dolphins, he's a no-talent loser that should be unemployed, yet when he writes something positive, its a great article and he's coming around?

Ireland is not a clown, he doesn't know how to make a balloon bicycle.

Good things said about dolphins are good fair and well written articles, articles portraying us in a negative light are just reaching for straws but hacks with a vendetta against us

People can write and say whatever they want but the proof is in the product. Bottom line is pre-draft we are not a very good team after 4 years. Ireland has his work cut out for him to make us a contender through this draft. Personally, IMO if we don't show marked improvement next year and I'm not talking winning a mediocre 7 to 9 games, Ireland should be shown the door as he has no business being part of rebuilding again.

I've been backing Ireland for a while now.... I honestly have no idea why so many of our fans here are so vehemently calling for his head.

When you look at the last 20-25 moves we made, between cutting players/drafting players/signing players, I really think we have done well. I havent been able to say that about the fins with a straight face in a long time, but I can lately.

People are acting like just because we didn't get a franchise quarterback in free agency, Ireland MUST be the worst GM in the league. Yet there are 22+ other teams who are in the same position...

He's a smart guy, at least smarter than people like Sparano, Cameron, Mueller, Wannstedt etc... He studies football as his job and is currently dedicated to the Miami Dolphins, and honestly if you look at the pure facts he hasn't done a bad job. Please guys remember that Pat White was Parcells' guy.

Why should he be fired again???

The sarcastic passive-aggressiveness on here is reaching new highs.  Are you all synchronizing your monthly cycles?

maybe people on other teams wants him to be our GM cause they know Ireland will draft all the bad players and leave the good ones for them.....lol

Ozzy rules!!

These front office types never speak badly about each other because the NFL is incestuous. They all know each other, have worked together somewhere in their past, or may work together somewhere in the future. No way would they burn a bridge to future paychecks.
