Jeff Ireland is not the devil

Don't worry. It's ok. Seek help. Big bad Ireland and the Miami Dolphins won't hurt you any longer if you just seek help.

They're not hurting me in the least. You see I'm actually willing to see what the "entire" offseason offers not just the first 2/3 weeks yes that includes the draft, BEFORE i pass judgement. I know thats a real novel concept to most "fans"

Further i'm willing to bet we as fans and even media people, i know big shock, aren't as privy to all the critical information regarding these decisions. Yet, somehow we know whats a bad move versus a good move and all the intricacies that must go into evaluating such things.....Not sure how one can do that

But like you said clearly i need help.

Yes the offseason is still young, but we have danced this dance before, we have watched this movie in the theater, On DVD and on replay on ABC Sunday Night. So yes while the offseason is not over its playing out the same as it has played out for several of the last few seasons.

So yes there is reason for concern.

I realized this team as mediocre crap the last 2 seasons before the draft while I'm sure you were defending this team the same say you're doing now. Looks like I'm pretty good at this "predicting how the team does before the offseason is over" thing. Take notes.

I actually agree with the article. I think Ireland has done a decent job. I would've been pissed if we signed Flynn to what Seattle is paying him.. for 2 games worth of production.. criminal!

Good article. And truth be told, only the players who got cut, and thinking higher of themselves than anyone else bash Ireland. Porter and Crowder. One of which can't find a team. Just goes to show what having a big mouth will get you.

The only real mistake Irelanf made was asking about Bryants mother being a prostitute. And I remember listening to the NFL network and there were a few GMs and players who said much worse things have been asked done. Ireland just got exposed.

Sometimes I think all the media negativity and hoopla is unfounded and simply there has to be a team to hate every year. And we're the current punching bag.

It just like always around here if you don't agree your stupid, ignorant a fool or mentally ill.
I am soory but if you have to make your point by insulting someone you have just lost the argument.

Why can't we elevate the dialog here? I also debate politics with friends a few are on different sides. We always keep the debate clean and respectful.
When insults are used all it does is make people close down and dig in. You have better chance to get some one to agree if you keep it respectful.

If you want to label it as concern okay i can understand that. However, the reaction that has been taking place in the recent days is beyond just a few concerned folks, IMO its akin to a Salem Witch Trial aim at two people, Ireland and Ross. Whats truly concerning to me is how "fans" and others have come-by their conclusion! If they're going to spue this amount of venom then clearly they must have seen the big board, sat in the meetings, heard the reasoning for or against particular moves, directions, philosophy etc right?

Wait, you mean 99% of fans and media haven't seen the big board, never sat in a NFL team meeting room, have no idea about contracts, players, agents etc etc etc. NO that can't possible be right, hell we're all going to DAVIE today to protest!

Unbelievable!

You know those jets fans we always laugh at and make fun of. You know, the funny blind homers who are complete Sanchez apologists. The ones we ridicule and call out of touch with reality. The ones who look for every excuse to defend him and don't have an objective bone in their body.

Well my friends, homeritis isnt exclusive to just those wacky jets fans

No big boards seen here. Yet continue to be right about this team. Can't explain that.

Indeed. In fact... Our own Henne apologists sound exactly, and I mean EXACTLY like those Sanchez apologists. Not a single difference among them.

I don't like Jeff Ireland and I'm not going to defend him, but if you don't think this coordinated assault against the guy is being orchestrated from somewhere behind the scenes, perhaps from a place that stinks like rancid tuna, then I don't even know what to say.

I'd say anyone defending this moron has a clear-cut case of Stockholm Syndrome. Most people defending this idiot are the same ones who defended Sparano, and Henne, and Fiedler, and everything else that has caused us to become the laughingstock of the NFL the last 13 seasons. The Miami Dolphins have been beating its fans over the head with a steel pipe for 13 seasons. Anyone defending this garbage has psychological issues, no doubt.

Do you have any of the the following :
1. Is your anger response disproportionate to the stimuli or trigger?
2. Does the recollection of past events and incidents, or people of significance cause you to experience feelings of intense anger?

You might have Disproportionate Anger Syndrome.

1. Anger is pretty much relegated towards this team, but doesn't go beyond the raging on message boards, and occasional thrown remote on Sundays.
2. The thought of trading for Daunte Culpepper instead of signing Drew Brees causes anger, but not intense anger.

What's your assessment doctor?

Stockholm Syndrome is a bit over -the-top. Off season train wrecks aren't trauma. Real train wrecks are.
