Quite the opposite actually...Spence was a damn good Cane but he is just too small to be a 3 down player in most systems at the next level.

Oh man i can already see it. A player from the canes will get drafted by another team and go on to great things. Then people on here will have more ammunition against ireland saying that we missed out on said player because ireland ran out early.. wait for it .

It is like we are those great whites you see on TV when they grab for the chunk of meat only to have the boat captain to yank it hope before we can secure it.
 
Pro Days are overrated anyhow....they can just have Canes representatives send tapes of the workouts, no big deal
 
We know this was important.the question is how important ?

IMHO the Phins are in serious danger of losing entire generation of the fan base. The offspring of all the NE transplants will never even think about turning, so forget them. The stadium is already 50% opposing fans already. If they lose out on Manning, the Phins will become completely irrelevant to the vast majority of the natives. If that happens they are doomed as a franchise. Once you exist solely as a means to see the road team, your days are numbered.
