It's the middle of the fourth quarter in the Super Bowl and one thing is incredibly clear. Russell Wilson has played an absolutely perfect game. His performance has been dominant. And the worse part of it? Jeff Ireland has his revenge. While the Seahawks are set for their franchise quarterback for the next decade, we have to live with a 15-17 question mark in Ryan Tannehill.

Ireland screwed us twice at quarterback, picking Tannehill over Wilson and Henne over Flacco and Ryan. It will be five to ten years before we can recover from his sabotage of our franchise. Thumbs down to both Ireland and Parcells for Parcell's stupid quarterback selection rules. Forget size, the only rule that matters is to pick a quarterback who has been a winner. Russell Wilson is a winner. And he could have been a Dolphin.

Ireland is laughing all the way to the bank.

LOL. Carroll didn't even want Wilson. That's why he went in the 3rd round. They have the best team, not the best QB. Teams win Super Bowls.

You sir should have been our General Manager.

Not sure if sarcasm, but it's not like it's some ridiculous scenario that's only conceivable with hindsight. Kuechly was the BPA at the 8th pick, Wilson would've been the best QB available with the 2nd/3rd round pick.

Don't do this. It will make you hang yourself.

Not intended as sarcasm. Your proposed draft is the kind of draft that makes Super Bowl champions.

To those who say we shouldn't do this, I can only say that there are a number of us on this board who have advocated for years that Jeff Ireland was destroying this franchise and that we would never move forward as a team as long as he was still employed in that position. We have had to live for years with ridicule from those whose delusional overoptimism blinded them from the truth. Well reality has finally prevailed over incompetence and delusional overoptimism.

I say let's embrace the truth about Jeff Ireland and his disastrous drafts. I say let's honestly analyze his mistakes so we can correctly criticize our front office if they continue to make the same type of mistakes in the future. When you pull the trigger twice on a quarterback in the first round and fail both times to make the correct pick then the criteria you are using to make that pick is obviously flawed. We need to embrace that truth and be prepared to act upon it should Ryan Tannehill fail to become the franchise quarterback we hoped he would be when he was drafted.

We need to embrace the truth that those of us who wanted Jeff Ireland gone years ago were correct in our analysis of the situation. And to understand that the legacy of Jeff Ireland's failed draft picks will be his revenge in the years to come.

Great QB. Great Leader. Love him or hate him he produces.
4 years college QB well over 100 QB rating

2 year pro over 100QB rating each year (only one ever to do it)

Over 100 QB rating in playoffs

Wilson would get destroyed on this team. Not to mention the differences in defense. We have a weak "bend but don't break defense" vs Seattle's "break them" defense.

That being said, the only reason people criticize Wilson here is because he's not a Dolphin. Right now, you just look silly.
