Jeff Jagodzinski

agree, we're getting a solid staff but lets get a QB and some weapons for him too.The play Crazy Train everytime we kick off.....oh wait, they already do that but lets do it more often.

Ozzy rules!!

They should play a better Ozzy tune - like "Over the Mountain" or "Bark at the Moon".

Bet Jagodzinski is the jackass.

Just two guys that don't really get along I think. But I will say Jags has had a tough time keeping jobs. He was fired by Sherman, fired by Boston College, fired by Tampa and fired by the Omaha Nighthawks. That's a lot of terminations over a 6 or 7 year period.

That's interesting. Objectively speaking, it looks like the only common denominator there is Jagodzinski. Once, or maybe twice, I could be convinced it was other stuff. However, Four terminations and it's a pattern. On a side note, way to bogart all the badges man. Your posts need to be like 5 paragraphs just to be long enough to fit them all, haha....

LOL what can I say they just keep giving them to me ;)

Actually there's one missing. In 2009 I won both Best Draft Forum Poster and Best Overall Poster and they forced me to choose which one I'd rather keep, insisting I couldn't have both. So really I'm three-time defending champ in both categories. :)

Anyway enough bragging, you're right it does look like Jags is the common denominator over that time period. The Green Bay firing came because of "philosophical differences" between Sherman and Jagodzinski. The Boston College firing happened because the Athletic Director warned Jags that he'd be fired if he interviewed for any NFL jobs as it would damage recruiting, and sure enough in 2009 (the year Ryan was hired), Jags interviewed with the Jets. The AD kept to his promise and fired Jeff, who got hired by the Buccaneers as Offensive Coordinator. At some point during camp or preseason the Buccaneers decided that Jagodzinski sucks as a play caller (when he was Offensive Coordinator in Green Bay, McCarthy called the plays, just as he did when Philbin took over that job), and so they gave Jeff an ultimatem: switch titles with QB Coach Greg Olson, or be fired. Jagodzinski chose firing. I don't know why exactly he was fired by the Omaha Nighthawks after only one year but it was suggested that was due to the team's bad performance.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't he coach the offensive line in Green Bay at some point?

Whatever differences Sherman and Jags may have had are hopefully in the past. Jags is a good coach, hopefully these string of terminations have humbled him a bit.

Jags coached the Atlanta Falcons offensive line in 2005 and helped a 30 year old Warrick Dunn set a career high rushing yards with 1,416.

I thanked you for your sig.... you do know she isn't a blonde though, right?

I'm starting to think that Jags becoming the QB coach is nothing more that speculation. I'll wait for a more credible source.

jags has got a raw deal esp getting fired for interviewing for another job.

You guys are hiring Iowa offensive coordinator/QBs coach Ken O'Keefe. This is according to coachingsearch.com. Maybe he'll be your QB coach.
