Wow, Denver ahead of us? Tampa Bay? And how is Atlanta as low as we are? This is a very bad ranking. I wonder how they came up with these dumb numbers?

They are a Power rating. A real power rating. Not a poll.

You take two teams that are playing each other and subtract their numbers against each other and then add 3 points to the home team.

I'll do the Miami / Atlanta game as an example.

18.54 Atlanta
-17.89 Miami
= 0.95 Difference in Atlanta's favor. Then you add 3 points to Atlanta for being the home team and Atlanta is then favored in the game by 3.95 points.

The Vegas line in the game has Atlanta favored by 4 to 4 1/2 points...
