I was surprised he got so many touches. He ran hard, got involved quickly, and saw him save Tua's ass on a wide-pressure move from a defender. Happy to see him do well.

Why? He knows the offense due to playing under McDaniel in the 49ers offense.I'm shocked at how well he played today.
I have to cut him some slack, I think he’ll be a force. I do think Roquan would have made us all the more better though especially against running QBsHe played like the guy we gave up a 1st for today.
And that’s one of the mysteries with McDanielHe's a good player. Just wish the play calling wouldn't have gotten so predictable in the last two drives. where we did a lot of razzle dazzle just to run bland calls because I really thing the run game is going to have more capability to contribute going forward.
He tries so hard to be unpredictable that he doesn't realize he's extremely predictable in his unpredictability. Like the Pitt game where he is gonna try and pull a smart one and get a pass off on 3rd down when only a run made sense, and Pitt had it snuffed out entirely, or today when there was so much pre-snap goofiness going in you could just tell that we were trying to get the D to bite on the pass. And that’s one of the mysteries with McDaniel
Not the only game where he’s done this
