I've read some reports that have said he has struggled during the first couple of days in practice. If so, then this is just a continuation of last year for him. Many of you want to criticize some of the other linemen, but Jeno James was easily the biggest disappointment among the offensive linemen last year. If he continues to struggle, I hope Nick cuts him and gives someone like Damion Cook, who I have read some good things about so far, a chance to start at left guard.

I agree. Some people make the excuse that he is trying to help McKinney too much, but I don't know. Hadnot seems to be doing ok!?

I also read at least one report that said he was one of the best linemen out there. Without being there and making my own assessments it's hard to know which reports to believe.

there is no way yall cut James. there isnt anyone on the fins O-Line that is any better than him waiting to take his spot.

Based on what? His name? It sure as hell isn't based upon his play over the past year. Miami can stick John St. Clair in at left guard and improve the position, IMO.

I haven't heard anything about Jeno struggling more than anyone else in camp. There shouldn't even be a thread on this guy. If you wanna start a thread about a struggling o-lineman, than start one on that bum we have at center name SETH MCKINNEY.

I've been saying since last year's training camp that this guy sucks and It it puzzles me how he is still working with the first team. McKinney and Whitley are the worst linemen on our roster and strangest thing about it is they came from the same college (the same year). Makes you wonder what the h%ll are they teaching their players at Texas A&M.

Another genius Spielman signing!

i think we should give him another week or two to see if he sucks, if you go by the first practices we should cut feeley and frerotte too

I agree James was overated just as I believe St Clair was underated by the fans last year .

Having said that I am concerned that I havnt heard St Clair's name mentioned once in training camp reports or the press.Whats up with that.?

I dont think James will be cut.I think we will keep both Cook and James.

he sucked last year, we need another week to cement this?

Who we have excatly to replace Mckinney?

Wade Smith is still learning the position

John ST Claire could be an option but McKinney's footwork is better..

Hadnot is allready locked at RG..

I don't really see an alternative to that bum Mckinney.

It's way too early for predictions and we have to see how this line gels. Give Houck some time to work his magic. I have to admit though, that all s=early indications look like Seth Mckinney is the one to worry about especially with Wade Smith is making some gains at center.

I recall him struggling last year too. However, I do not believe Hudson Houck will be anything but objective when it comes to the depth chart on the OL. If he has James on 1st string at this point, then he must have shown something more than anyone behind him.
I would not agree that James was the biggest disappointment last year. That would have to be Smith or McKinney.

I believed he got a free pass last year. I don't think this will be the case this year. I just hope Seth gets out of the starting 5.
