Jeno James

"Shocked and offended" is your description, and quite the exaggeration I might add. If you defend the mindset that asks who's going to replace a person when the subject at hand is the nature and severity of that person's injury, then surely you must see your way clear to a little more tolerance of a viewpoint that asks that we stick to the subject and let talk of a replacement happen another day.

And luckily - for James first and foremost - that the news is somewhat good. If the worst or anything close had happened instead, you might be singing a different tune right now while you backpedaled furiously.

PRECISELY.

:yeahthat: Very well said NaboCane.

Again, learn your role. If the worst were to happen I wouldn't be backpedaling or apologizing. For me to do that, I would have to feel I did something wrong. Chill out dude. We're on here to discuss football. None of us know Jeno James, we wish him well but any discussion of football that disrupts the threads resemblance to purely a "get well soon" card should not be described with terms like "disturbing" etc.

Stick to the subject? The subject was Jeno James. He is hurt. Not exactly a far stretching of the subject matter to casually wonder who is behind him on the depth chart. Man, some people really do need to chill out.

How arrogant. The thought that someone as petulant and condescending as you can strive to teach me anything at all, much less anything regarding comportment is ironic at best.

I didn't post it but I did think to myself after I thought I sure hope JJ is OK I did wonder who would back him up if he is out for a while.

Well, of course. I did too. But I don't believe for a second that we're put here to act on our baser instsincts; not all the time anyway ;) . We have the ability to govern our own actions, especially when it comes to those of intellectual origin.

Yup that is why I read the THREAD before I asked the question.

:)

I don't need anyone to tell me my role as a fan. It is to support the team however I choose, not make personnel decisions. Sure we all love to talk about the players and their roles, but before we get into talking about replacing James, couldn't we wait to be sure his life was not in danger?
When I posted my first post, NOBODY here knew how bad off James' situation was. Was it another Stringer situation or something less severe? At that point one could only speculate and hope for the best.
IMO, to right off the bat begin to talk about who would replace James before anyone knew the severity of his condition was a little disturbing. Like NaboCane said, this is real life, not Madden.

Nabo, CK is a quality Dolphin fan and I've gone through many seasons with him. I don't want to take sides here but one thing I know is that CKs' as loyal a Dolphin fan as I've ever met. This infighting makes no sense. Let's just root for Jeno to get better.

Then support your team, and don't badmouth guys who ask legitimate questions.

I appreciate your support BSQX4. Out of respect, I won't say anymore on the subject.
