Jerimiah Mock Draft

I think its either him Jack or Hargreaves at 8. Would be surprised if it's anyone else.

Yeah I wouldn't be too upset but it would be nice to get production out of a first round pick year one for a change.

Hope they investigate that knee injury thoroughly. Was my choice for us before he got hurt.

2 torn knee ligaments??? NO THANKS! But that would be just like this stupid franchise...

I don't think that's in the cards for 8 overall. He likely won't play much of the 2016 season, I'd imagine.

Can't see that pick at 8.....now if they trade down and pick up another 2nd...maybe even 2 picks....I could see taking him for the future because of the bonus pick.

We should have a good idea where his knee is at by April, and it really isn't the two ligaments that are the issue its if there is other damage.

A lot of it will depend on if two qb's go before
If Bosa, Hargreaves, Jack and Ramsay are gone....
Who are you gonna take?
Buckner? I want another Oregon DE about as much as a kick in the teeth.
Stanley? I would consider it but the board may revolt with another tackle.

I think it is absolutely in play at 8.
Its easy to say trade down but it takes two to tango and we may get a crappy offer.

This. Before the injury, #8 would have been perfect for Smith. I think a team that can afford to wait will pick him up later in the first round, unless he makes a Adrian Peterson type recovery. Great player.

I think in that scenario Stanley could be the pick, especially with an aging and injury-prone Albert currently at left tackle. Buckner could be in play, but also a wildcard pick could be a DT like Andrew Billings or A'Shawn Robinson.

We wouldn't have been able to sniff him at 8 before the injury. He was the biggest top 5 lock next to Bosa. This is where you take a chance on an elite talent, just like STL did with Gurley. You think they're complaining about him missing games now? Hate to break it to you guys, but we're more than a single draft away from a SB so we better not let this elite talent at a position of dire need slip through our fingers.

Exactly. Assuming his knee checks out, he should be the pick. He could be ready to take the field by late november or early december.
You draft for long term production, not for 3 months.

At this point in the process - If Hargieves is still on the board at 8 and we cant move down I would be scratching my head if we passed on him... He is a day one and a 10 year starter... Smith is a ? at this point and we should address him as one until we can erase the ?

I really want to like a CB enough to draft at 8 but I've yet to see one I think is worthy of going that high. I'm not including Ramsey because I've got him at FS.

He would be a steal at 8....if healthy. And that he ain't, and the something outr franchise has done for years, drafted injured players from college.

If Parker didn't have a foot injury, our year would have been infinitely better. Example 1.

At 8 I would look at Heargraves, Mackensie or Stanley and not hesitate with any of those three
