Safety for Kansas City, he's a veteran, 11th year, but he was a pro bowl selection in 2004, even tho we got a few Safeties, he would be nice to bring in to groom our younger guys. Do u think he's worth a shot for 2-3 years??

Absolutely not. He's not even good enough to play in KC's horrible D. If we wanted a slow old guy that couldn't cover anymore, we could have kept Lance. Not to mention we're already stacked at S with Allen, Cooper, Hill, etc.

We're stacked at Safety, we probably have 2 or 3 guys that are better than him already.

"Burning" Woods obviously hasn't fully recovered from his leg injury that sidelined him most of last year otherwise I doubt he would have been released.

Travares Tillman, Jason Allen, Yeremiah Bell, Deke Cooper, and Renaldo Hill are all at this point better and younger than Woods. He was a good player 3 years ago, but has lost his speed and was a backup, for the chiefs defense. We don't need a a safety, depsite what anyone around here may think.

In short, NO! Its a good question but Schulters played at a higher level last year and we cut him loose. We have Tillman, Bell, Hill, and Cooper who have started in the NFL, Jason Allen our first round pick and three others. There isn't enough room.

Beyond that you raise the question of mentoring. On another team that might mean more or at another position with the Phins, but for us, Saban himself mentors the D backs. Unless a player had years in the Saban system, I doubt he could help.
