Jerry Porter

I hope not

He's Randy Moss without the talent and physical ability. The guy is half hearted player, and an over rated receiver. Why fans of every team with receiving needs always bring his name up is beyond me.

I thought oakland said they are keeping him like it or not.. is my rememberrerer in need of rebooting?

I imagine every player that is a free agent will be and is being looked at. That doesn't mean we will actually bring them in or try to sign them.

Before the current debacle developed in Oakland, Porter did have back to back 900+ yards seasons.

They would like to keep him but Porter opted out of his contract making him a free agent.

Porter already said he's not going back to the Raiders. HE is a physically talented WR and reminds me of David Boston when he first came into the league. Porter can make the athletic and tough catches but inconsistencies at QB for his team have hurt him. I think with the right team he could be a really good WR. I would not mind having him at all but I'm sure he wouldn't want to go from one losing team to another

D.J. Hacket, Bryant Johnson, Bernard Berrian, and a few others ring more bells, IMO.

Hackett and Johnson seem like legit options. I think Berrian will want a lot of money. Not sure if we are willing to pay him the money he wants but he is a young talented receiver

If it's for a decent price, I don't see why you wouldn't take a look Porter. He still has some skills and last year it doesn't even seem like he played and he had 700 yards and 6 TD's. That's with Mccown and Culpepper too.

I think Porter is a very good WR

He has all the physical tools you look for- the ability is there.

Only question is his consistency and whether he is a team player.

I would attribute a lot of his inconsistency to the fact he was in Oakland.
