Jesse Lumsden as an undrafted free agent

As it is turning out I am starting to think he might not be there in the 7th. He will not be a first day pick but there are alot of teams that have him pegged as a sleeper according to various websites on the internet.

New Orleans, Seattle, Denver have all shown interest.

I just hope he gets a chance to play and doesn't get screwed over for being Canadian like many have. This guy has the talent he has proven worthy and he did good in the shrine game and they still didn't invite him to the Columbine sometimes it makes me sick when this happens

It is Combine actually, might want to edit that.

But yeah I think you get a chance to play if you deserve it. I just find it hard to believe that he would start in the NFL with so many good backs already there and coming out of college. But he could be a great backup.

On another note Mike Pringle also played in the NFL once, for Denver. He never got to play but I wonder if that is because he was not that good or if he just never got a real shot.

Mike Pringle was good in CFL I don't think he would of been good in the NFL. Thanks for correcting me also never noticed. I understand the talent and potential all these runningbacks have but I just think if you played him in preseason he would play amazing he will turn heads eventually you just need to play him in the game.

This is not just a Canadian.

He's the the biggest and fastest runningback in the draft next to Ronnie Brown.

These are just the measurables.

He also averaged 10 yards per carry. With hundreds of carries.

Finally an americain giving respect to a man who deserves it(no offense to you). IF miami drafts this guy in the late rounds i will worship Saban even if he has a bad drat day with the number 2 pick

biggest sleepers of the draft
Lumsden
Mcpherson
Mike Williams (if he slips out of top ten like some are predicting)

One more thing to note of this guy. He took his OL out to dinner. He paid for it by taking out another student loan.

He ran in between a 4.42 and 4.48 on one website i saw (patsfan.com, not too sure the credibilty but it was one of their articles not a poster)

6'2" 228lbs.

This site says the Seahawks attended his private workout and he posted a 4.46 and 4.49.

yea i read this, he seems like a good kid.

His pass blocking is suspect and I don't know how good his run blocking is.

I'm sure that Saban has a little more insight than the coach at McMaster University, no disrespect meant, but I assume he could learn how to block.

Still, don't waste him at fullback.

That's like putting Champ Bailey at Free Safety.

He deserves a shot more than anyone in this draft, training in Arizona over the summers, likely seen as the oddball soon to be has been from Canada.

But he's blazing, large, and just always picks up huge gains.

He's always knocking off very very long runs and scoring touchdowns. At least 2 per game.

We'd be idiots to pass on him in the 6th round assuming we haven't taken someone in rounds 2 through then.

Say we pick Ronnie Brown at 2 and then get this kid in the 6th or the 7th.

That will be over 460 lbs of ripped 4.4 40 running backs behind the snap.

Its a shame that the 3rd we gave for Lamar Gordon all but guarantees him a shot at the backup spot, and resigning Minor doesn't bode well.

I hope he doesn't come into our division out of the aqua.

No offense taking with the saban comment........He is smarter then the mcmaster coach

his blocking is a little suspect all admit but i like your idea of drafting him in the 6th round

true the backup situation looks bad for him but linehans offense is rotating runningbacks and i can see minor gone after this year same with RW if he returns and that leaves Brown(if drafted) gordon n lumsden possibly morris depends on how coaches feel about him

i think if this guy was from america, and he went to college at like "Texas" or "Iowa" or "LSU" then he would be in the running for the heisman.
if he were here on one of those teams, he would be a first rounder.
