Not that we need anymore proof of how disrespectful and idiotic the Jests and their coach is... but i thought i'd post this from Armando's column.... once again Fin players and coaches humble and the Jests not showing one ounce of respected for an offence that literally wiped the floor with them almost 3 weeks ago... can't wait till sun....enjoy

Jets all hot and bothered by Ronnie quote

To get his little minions all excited about Sunday's game against the Dolphins, Jets coach Rex Ryan used a quote that appeared on this blog following the first Miami beatdown of the Jets on Oct 12.
"Coming into the game we're watching how they blitz and we were like, 'OK we'll just sit back and play football then, and let's see who has the tougher 11 people on the field,' " Ronnie Brown said on Oct. 14.
Well, you'd think Brown had stolen Ryan's buffet ticket because the coach was so vexed he actually read the quote aloud to his players during a team meeting on Wednesday.
So the Jets, who wanted revenge against the Dolphins before hearing the quote, now reeeaaaaalllly want revenge against the Dolphins. Oooooh, now they're reeeeaaaallly, reeeaaallly motivated. Now that Brown's incendiary quote has set the Jets' collective britches on fire, they're going to reeaaaallly study their game plans and reeeealllly practice reeeaaaally super duper hard.
"I got the quote and it's a great quote," Ryan said without attributing it properly. "Obviously, they must have thought they were the tougher team on that Monday night. We'll see who the tougher one is this week."
Hear the silence? That's the Dolphins' knees not rattling one against another in fear. I saw no sign of apprehension, consternation, panic or trepidation in the Dolphins locker room Wednesday. (Also saw no sign of Ted Ginn Jr. either, but that's another story.)
The Dolphins, to be succinct, seem to be simply going about their business this week.
“I think we’re definitely going to look back at that tape and anticipate what we can attack them on, and what did work for us," said quarterback Chad Henne. "We’re going to take bits and pieces from that game, but obviously there are going to be adjustments. There’ are going to be some change-ups for us, and we will try to keep them off guard.”
Anyway, Rexy seems to want his team on guard (even if it was only Wednesday) and they came out of that team meeting spewing anger over that Brown quote.
"It's kind of like he disrespected our defense in a way," cornerback Darrell Revis told the New York Post. "That shows what they think about our defense, that we're not tough enough and we're not strong enough. It hurts. I think a lot of guys are taking it personally on this team, because we don't want to be looked at like that as a defense.
"We believe we're a tough group and that's what we're going to show."
Outsider looking in observation: Brown did not say the Jets are not tough. He did make it quite clear the Dolphins thought prior to the game they could challenge the Jets and they would be happy to play and see which was the tougher team.
This just in: The Dolphins were the tougher team that night. They plowed the field with that defense Revis plays on, rushing for a 151 yards and two touchdowns.
And doesn't Revis have other concerns? Last we saw him, he was chasing Ginn, by no means a stud, into the end zone on the embarrassing end of a 53-yard touchdown pass.
The Jets on Sunday will be without their best defensive lineman and run stuffer Kris Jenkins, who went out of the lineup with a knee injury in the Buffalo game two weeks ago and is out for the remainder of the season.
And yet, the Jets don't seem concerned. They've got their macho attitude on this week.
"The toughest 11? We'll see this week," defensive end Shaun Ellis told The Post. "There's no doubt about it, that we have tough players on this team. Everybody was watching that last game and it was like, 'Wow, we laid an egg.'"
Well, if it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck and lays eggs like a duck ... it's a duck.

With no Jenkins, Ricky and Ronnie will dominate this defense. Look for the run to establish a passing game as well. Aint no 11 tougher than Long, Ronnie, Ricky and the gang.

The Jets are just like playground bullies. All talk, and when you punch them in the mouth, they deny deny deny. They are so freakin' arrogant, that even if we beat them a 2nd time (and 3rd in a row), they still will never admit we are better than them.

I don't just hate the Jets, I loathe them.

That's kinda cheeky for a team that's gone 1-3 out of their last 4 games especially considering the 1 win was against Oakland and one of the losses was against the Jills... but then again as that Peter Principle'd out bloated DC has already proven: "talk is cheap."

I can't talk about the Revis or Ellis quotes because I haven't heard that interview, but if you listen to Rex Ryan he actually agreed with what Ronnie said. He thought Ronnie's quote was absolutely correct. You can listen to the presser on newyorkjets.com if you care to. Ryan was hardly "hot and bothered".

Whatever it takes to motivate them, I just hope we don't need any other motivation than 2-4, if we are not focused for this one the playoff party will be officially over

Fatso needs to chill... there was no disrespect meant in that quote whatsoever. Ronnie was just telling it like it is. He must've twisted it to his players when he read it to get them all pissed.

With no Jenkins, Ricky and Ronnie will dominate this defense. Look for the run to establish a passing game as well. Aint no 11 tougher than Long, Ronnie, Ricky and the gang.

Pace is back, and he's tearing it up.

Here's what Rex actually said. Whoever wrote that "article" is a dunce.

10/28 — Rex Ryan quoted a certain Miami running back in the opening remarks to his news conference today. If you thought there was a subtle message there, you're probably right.

"As Ronnie Brown said, the tougher 11 guys will win on the field and will get the job done," Ryan said following today's first practice of the week for Sunday's home rematch against the Dolphins.

Asked what he meant by using that remark, Rex was ready.

"That's a great quote. Obviously, they must've felt they were the tougher team that Monday night," Ryan said, referring to the 31-27 'Fins win three games ago. "And we'll see who the tougher team is this time.

"I think it's a great statement. I think he's dead-on," Rex continued. "I don't have the silver tongue like he does. I respect Ronnie Brown. I think he's a heck of a football player, he and his partner, Ricky Williams. I couldn't agree with him more on his statement."

There is no question Ryan appreciated the Dolphins' showing against his defense in primetime: 151 rushing yards, 262 passing yards, 23 first downs, 31 points. If anyone missed his grudging admiration at the time, he repeated his sentiment today:

"Other than struggling to stop the run and the pass ... those would be the two areas I think we need to improve in. That wasn't our day."

But unless I miss my guess, I'd say Ryan's message was: We respect you. But you won't be the only tough team on the Meadowlands turf on Sunday.

On the Miami Wildcat, he said, "Whether it was the scheme, the execution, whatever it was, they got the job done. So we'll see what happens."

On QB Chad Henne, he replied, "Hey, they threw the ball for 250 yards. That's the number that really jumps out at you." But, he noted, "This is Henne's first NFL start away from his home stadium. We'll see how that works out for him. This is a difficult place to play."

The bottom line, if Rex needed to underscore it, is that Miami had the NFL's rushing offense when they played the Jets. Now the Dolphins are No. 2 — and the Jets are No. 1.

"If you like old-fashioned football, this is a game you don't want to miss," said the Jets' head coach. "If you want to see an aerial circus and all stuff like that, you'll probably have to go to a different game."

Rex's closing point was that had the Jets lost a difficult Monday night game on the road to Minnesota or Chicago, the chance for payback wouldn't come for four years.

"The great thing about this one is it's right now. It's happening right now," he said. "They've only played one game, and they get us again, so we'll see. Every man in that room I'm sure felt — I know I did, that I wanted this opportunity again.

"Now sometimes be careful what you wish for. Ronnie Brown hit it on the head, and I think we're going to find out. We're going to find out who has the tougher 11. And I'm OK with that."
