Specter says that Walsh indicated he caught the Jets taping the Patriots' signals.

Has Goodell been covering up for the Jets?????????

They tried to say that last year w/ no evidence and you may not want to call out other teams since one of your former HC's(Jimmy Johnson) said he used to do the same things NE has been doing.

Where is Paul Taglibue when you need him???

I knew Goodell would not make a good commisioner....

If the Jets are also indeed caught cheating, that puts us in a bigger dilema....we went to the playoffs with Wanny and were cheated by 2 teams....

I am pretty sure we have cheated also

Nothing ever happened when Taglibue was in charge, or at least it was covered less.

JJ was doing something similar, but not exactly the same.

JJ said he stole signals at UM... but it really didn't help too much, so he stopped. Additionally, he didn't use a video camera. The use of a video camera to steal signals is explicitly forbidden in the rules. Now they probably wouldn't have created this rule with such specificity, unless it was going on a long time ago.

How so???
One year we played and beat the Patriots. Zach Thomas said that when he listened to the game-film, he could hear the Patriots signals being called out on the regular NFL tapes. He said he was able to figure it out and know if a running play or passing play was coming. That is a few years back.

JJ also said when he was in the NFL he would make sure he would have people go through the opposing coaches booths and gather whatever they could

In Specter's news conference, two links to the Jets emerged:
• He said Walsh told him he suspected the Jets of illegally videotaping during a game. Walsh said he stood next to the Jets' video person during a game, which means it happened in 2000 or 2001 or 2002 - the years he taped for the Patriots. Al Groh coached the Jets in 2000, followed by Herm Edwards from 2001 to 2005.
"He mentioned a Jets game," Specter said of Walsh. "The guy next to him seemed to be doing the same thing he was doing, but he didn't get too high and mighty about it since he was doing the same thing."
• Specter said Walsh told him that he was succeeded as the Patriots' video man by Steve Scarnecchia, who now serves in the same capacity with the Jets. He said Scarnecchia, the son of Patriots offensive line coach Dante Scarnecchia, illegally taped teams from 2002 to 2004.

I think I once heard that Bernie Kosar was good at stealing signals (ie watching the defensive coaches hand-signals and figuring out what they meant).
