Jets' Coaching Blueprint May Appeal To Dolphins....

The more I hear about this guy the more I want him as our HC. Not to mention his father is good friends with our best HC ever. I think we should say no thanks to everyone else, hier Brian and start building some winning tradition. I'm now off the Whisenhut bandwagon and on the Brian Schottenheimer bandwagon...It's the hire that makes the most sense in my opinion.

:yes::yes::yes:

I wouldn't mind shottenheimer, however to count out Cam Cameron due to is Indiana record would be a horrible reason. Indiana has always been the bottom talent-wise of the Big Ten. Misleading stat.

Its a gamble, but if you determine that Martz and Carroll don't fit for whatever reason, you could give Shottenheimer a one year tryout and if he succeeds.....great.

If it becomes obvious he was a mistake it leaves you in the running for Cowher and some better candidates that should be available in 2008.

I couldn't agree more. For some reason, all of these other HC candidates just leave me feeling uninspired about the future. With a young up and comer like Shott, there's a young new look / feel towards everything, and it gives us more anticipation in looking ahead. New blood, new directions, and a focus on building a champion.....

PHINZ RULE!!!!!

That's the same way I feel..I think Brian Schotty should be given the keys and let him bring his own OC while retaining Capers (maybe upping capers salary a tad more making him feel wanted).

My dream Staff
GM-Mueller/Diamond
HC-Brian Schotty
OC-Jason Garrett
DC/Asst. Head Coach-Dom Capers/Mike Singleton

any thoughts?

The problem with Cameron is twofold, one, he may not available until February.

Two, he has so much talent at San Diego it seems to me that many OC's would look good there.

And for the same reason I would also welcome Mike Tomlin as HC. Both of these guys are going to be outstanding HCs. We should get one now.

Difference being one is a defensive genius the other an offensive innovative...

I like the half time adjustments, playing to your team's talent (rather then watch them fail trying to adjust to something that is beyond their ability) and the motions, disguises, movement, etc.

I really like the sound of this guy, especially if we can hurt the Jets and get a Mangini part ll.

I am liking what I have heard about him as well. I definitely wouldnt mind him being given a shot as HC.
